Mp3 Players

I had a Cowon Iaudio 20gb. Basically it had the best quality sound of any mp3 player I've heard. It also supports alternative file formats such as FLAC, if sound quality is your thing. Another feature which I really liked was that it operated like an external hard drive. You could just drag and drop folders/files onto it, thus dispensing with the dependancy on a program to install music and thus making life easier in regards to nabbing music from your friends.

It is a bit more expensive that what your price range it though. Last time I looked it was abbout £160. Potentially worth the wait of saving a bit extra though.

Got one of those zen sleeks trialsinchris linked to a week ago now and am well impressed. I had a couple of issues getting it to work but it turned out the usb ports on the front of my pc can't stream data as fast as those at the back which was causing the player to crash (so it's a pc problem really).

The software's a doddle to use and comes with a file converter to change from mp3 to wma (and other types that I can't remember), which i've been after a legit one of for ages. Transfer speed is immensely fast, I already have over 1600 tracks on mine and haven't spent more than a couple of hours ripping from the hard-drive and cd's. The sound quality is awesome, as should be expected from Creative (makers of the Soundblaster PC sound card afterall) though the ear buds are a little large but that's easily changeable. The screen is clear and displays good colours and also allows you to zoom in to any photos stored on the player. Keypad is a bit sensitive on medium setting but has three adjustments to suit however heavy your fingers may be. Think that's just about everything.

Overall i'm chuffed to bits with it, especially for £110. There's nothing to match it for its current price.

Hope that helps

Daniel
