CurtisRider
hope pro 2 made out of cheese, king, made out of american cheese, will last slightly longer with regular servicingBenjustify that ben....kings and hopes both dont generally just mash apartso far there has been only a handful of pro 2s bust, but then there has been several kings bust too over the yearsi found my king/all the others i used, to be pretty nasty hubs, just feel horrible and the tinest bit of grit inside=hub rape, whereas my hope pr2 is just reliable and feels solid, its the best hub out i think
Ross McArthur
the flange on my king snapped from one spoke hole to another but apart from that i love the little bee that lives inside my hub! just sent it away to king the other day so hope to get the peplacment body for free! Wright Pads
Okay heres the scoreI've rode many bikes over the years and on gropu rides.Anything ep's of 48 and above are fine for trials. ie to ride trials 48 erp is what you wana have. it feels right for all mvoes and take offs. The pick up on all 48ep hubs are amazing..Anything above 48 ep you don't notice. My King i havent. i know it's engaded but that due to the mods i did and making it stifer on that part.So if you want bling and a wirrr get a king. Mod it you self or send to tarty and ask him toHope Pro II get it bome down hill with it to get the grease out and ride it. Nice solid and clicks. Best of all amde in the uk. British thinking. On the ProII make sure it's the trials one not any ProII. this seams to be the problem a sthe trials is beafer where as the Pro II is amde to be an Xc hub NOT TRIALS LIKE SO MANY ARE USING.TWATS

pollocks
for the cash the king been £250 for the rear hub and the hope pro 2 been £120 i know where my cash would be going why spend more money than you have to and before anybody jumps in and says its not always the best to buy the cheapest i personally have used hope over the years and just love them i've used a mates bike with a king and personally didn't rate it that much i could be just as smooth on my old hope bulb than i could be on his king lolany hows i think this all boils down to personal points of what you would go for to be honest
