gateeight
Oh my. This thread just confirms what a lot of weirdos there actually are in trials. Get a grip (and a saddle).Oh and thanks for all the constructive comments too! I find it interesting how quick the "industry" people are to critisize. Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't you complained previously on here about trials bikes all being seatless and too complicated in terms of their design before? I don't really give a shit about the inter-company bitching or anything 'cos this is all over a non-production Ti frame (Which, going from the other Charge prices most people on here wouldn't afford anyway, so it'll remain exclusive even if it does make it into production as Ti...), but even so, it seems a bit odd to have a go at other companies when it's nothing you haven't done yourself? ScotchDave
Biff, in one sentence you have reminded me why I used to cringe everytime I saw you'd made a post. Anyway, people this is a frame for Chris to ride, it's as backward as a Golf, just because it's not one long tube doesn't mean it will ride shit. Anyway face it, he's so damn good that even without the latest technology he still owns us all. :$ Basically stop bitching about a frame you will never ride.P.S. For some reasone Mr Larsen you're coming across as a dick, no idea why though.
Davey
It's amusing how opinions can start arguments so easily, as though if we all argue for long enough we'll agree to like the same stuff, haha!!Anyway, I ride one of those long low and silver thingies and I love it, but I for one think this bike looks fantastic and it reminds me of a time when trials was about doing things on regular looking bikes that most people wouldn't even do on two feet! After all it's not the bike it's what you do with it that is "trials"!!!Besides, let's not forget who helped design this bike, something tells me Akkers know's what he's doing!!!Which is better, old school, new school, seat, no seat, long, short, big, small, 20in, 24in 26in, street, natural............ I say diversity is best, and I know one point on which we can all agree...TRIALS IS BEST!!!Davey
Mike Poyzer @ Onza
I hope the "industry" jibe was not aimed at me. My post was not in any way critical of the company, frame or anything else. I would never criticise a competitor on an open forum or any where else. It was merely my observations on our experience with Titanium, which as we all know, if it was that good it would have taken over by now. A competitive advantage would soon be funded no matter what the cost, as is the case in most sports these days. We have dabbled with Titanium now for 4 or 5 years as Rob Poyser will confirm. He used one of our prototypes for a while. It is certainly not the high cost which has kept us from releasing any Titanium frames on to the market. tomturd
Jesus christ this forum gets worse and worse.Chill out Si, its comments like that that makes this forum seem so up tight.. he was only giving his opinion Alright frame, like the colour, like the retroness, its a breath of fresh air (didnt think id ever say that about an old school style bike), but... I wouldnt go to the length of saying i'm gonna make a mess in my pants over it, its not that special IMO.
Christophe'
not arguing.I like the bike.bb rise, relatively long. Compared to an old px it's modern. hardly going backwards.
Simon
It wasn't the opinion, i'll be the first to shout at people for not giving them, but saying "you cant get of the side of the bike and realy lean it over if it has a seat. I have a bike with a seat, Its for doing cross country." is just taking the piss and not achieving anything.I'm sure if Chris wanted such a bike, he'd of not had a seat and normal top tube? narrowbars
Looks perfect. To all you low long silver riders that are complaining about it ever heard ''it's not the bike it's the rider''? Chris is a much better rider than you will ever be and he's doing in on a bike that doesn't have a 10000000000mm wheel base.
bEavoLa
fact: the bike was made for Chris with design help from Matt Tongue.fact: Chris likes larger bikes with saddles. (onza t-raptor, mongoose - ignore the Ashton...)fact: this bike IS larger than the average 6" framed, anonymous silver piss-streak, Taiwanese knock off.so - what's the beef? why all the hate? i think it's a gorgeous looking rig. reminds me of the Norco Moment (natch) in that setup - and i'm sure Chris himself loves it.lets face it - if 98% of this forum had the talent to have a bike custom made for them, they'd either copy their favourite Koxx/Echo/Ashton/Zoo/Adamant/GU/Czar etc etc etc or would have something built that looked rediculous. this bike is neither. kudos for Matt and Chris and the guys ar Charge for building a great looking bike - worthy of it's rider
