MrSuave
bucky, have you lobbed your old lump and ancillaries? My flat mates astra van (same as yours in standard trim) just died on way to work and its either the ECU unit or the fuel pump at fault, if its ECU its not too bad - £100 for new one but the fuel pumps are not serviceable and vauxhall want £1200 for a new one If you still have both of these bits id be happy to have em off you for a few quid..Let me know.CheersMrSuave

Im currently thinking F16 for better acceleration and maybe fitting a higher final drive
Ingram
My brother put a 2litre 16v red top engine in his nova, Fast as fook beat integra type r's piece of piss and loads of fun. it was a pain in the arse to do though! lol, all i can say is, good luck and believe me! it'll DEFINATLY be worth it! Just to see the face of those people in their civic type r's that think they are well fast then they get owned by a astra van or nova in our case
JTM
come on! a 2l nova being quicker than a integra TR? Cant see it meself. A 2ltr red top is what, 16-170bhp? Fair enough the nova is a box (a f**king ugly one at that) on wheels and theres more weight in a integra, but im not having it that it would win! The nova wouldnt get traction for a start! Bucky
i see what you mean davesomeone else mentioned the other night that it had a kinda skyline look with all the lights bumper etc.would be a unique look if it would all fit nice idea mine should only be running standardish power only putting induction kit and stright through 2.5in pipe.today colour coded and refitted the missing bump strips sprayed inside and outside door handles and smoothed boot lock an colour coded.Starting to look almost smart now. Just to see the face of those people in their civic type r's that think they are well fast then they get owned by a astra van or nova in our case Lol but they have put a different engine in it.. so its not really owning anyone.. if you let them put a new engine in their integras/civics then im sure it would be a different story? i always thought a fair race is put down to driving skill not who has the bigger engine. Any willy can point a car in a straight direction and put their foot down.

Bucky
Good stuff ol' chap. And you should know that induction kids screw up VX engines because of heatsoak thats why im using the standard airbox with a veccy C intake pipe possibly get a spare air box drill the bottom half and see if theres any difference.also got chromed manifold cover and throttle cable holder. Waynio
have you actually had it started up since it was in the Cavvy and finally.......................6months later....................... now if you would have been out with me last night you could have saved me some fuel. an SRi cavvy tried me. had no luck, you would have probably done it for me and saved me the £2-3 that brought a smile to my face, and it would have brought a better grin to your face as yours would have given a better race and won.Waynio........................... TomR
Ah ok then, you said induction kit i thought you meant a K&N or something. How about using the airbox off a 2.2? (also check your 888 post on AS, i linked to a thread about the cutout cumper/irmy splitter with pics)
