Jason
I'm looking for a guitar pedal, particulary for a 'wah' effect, but distortion would be pretty cool to.http://www.imuso.co.uk/ProductDetail.asp?StockCode=EG00333is this one any good? or does anyone know of any decent pedals? Tomm
MultiFX (like that one) are probably what you want. That's a VERY cheap one, so sound quality won't be great, but there will be a few things to play with, and if you're just practising then sound quality isn't that important anyway. You can just buy a single wah, but unless you're Jimi Hendrix, you'll probably get bored very quickly. To be honest, I don't really know about that one specificly, but it seems like a bargain. If you wanted to spend more, you could look at the AX1500g. I had the older version of that, and it was good. In my experience (with cheap FX), the effects are good to play with, but the distortion/amp modelling isn't really worth using. What amp are you using? Haz
I wouldn't get a multi-FX, unless you try it out, some of them can be really quite poor at certain effects, and it's useually Wah and Distortion. I have heard good things about the Zoom G2.1u, however. As for Wahs, most people I know go for Jim Dunlops, I use a bass one and it's pretty nice overall really. I don't really use it though except for messing around with, however.Try it all out if you can though, it makes deciding if something is any good much easier. thegoofeedude
I've actually got the one you linked to (actually the 505II - just like it as far as I can tell.) Like Tomm just said, the sound quality isn't the greatest (may have something to do with the really cheap cable/amp I was using). It's alright, but a little confusing to navigate the effects, and make them sound just how you want. With a little playing with it, you could probably get it easily though. Also, the built in tuner in mine seems a little off (I could be wrong, as mine is third hand and may have been through a lot).Hope that helped in some way . Dont know much about it.. err.. cost me £100 from a local guitar shop, and its pretty cool for sounds and stuff already.Kinda looking up to around £50 tops though.
