Tall_Rob
ok, i know its not about what your bike looks like, it's how you ride it that counts!but, i'm looking to get my bike resprayed so that it looks different to everyone else's seeing as most bikes at the moment are a polished finish.the questions are:1. is there really any point in getting my bike resprayed?2. do i pay out for a quality finish or just do it myself as it will probably get scratched off when i stack it?i'm pretty handy and resprays and could get some custom graphics made up or am i just thinking to much into it!what do you guyz think? BIG L
There is a point and there isn't. The point is getting your bike sprayed to look good because every bike does when it's been sprayed. And there isn't a point beacause you will probaly scratch it all up again! Cheers BIG L
adamtrials
I reccomend getting iolo (www.iolobikes.com) to powder coat your frame and forks, think it costs about £40 for a top notch finish of your choice And get graffics (www.graffics.co.uk) to make some custom stickers. They do a great job too Everyone loves a pretty bike Do it!

adamtrials
I think £40 is a bargain, it would cost near that in spray paint Here is an example of his paint jobs http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=77095http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=77097I believe he does do more colors than just grey Edited June 25, 2006 by adamtrials

quick_spider
Powder Coating is much tougher than paint. As people have said above, it's probably cheaper to get it done than pay for all the wet/dry paper, primer and paint. If you're after pimp factor, Argos Racing cycles in Bristol will do you a flip paint job for around £85 for frame & forks.Jon
adamtrials
Isnt powder coat chemically attached to the frame or something?Either way its much tougher, looks better although it is possibly a bit heavier.Should last loads longer than a spray job though.
