jay119
I'd like a mod but I'm quite tall so I find they hurt my back if I'm riding too long, it might just be me though!

MikeCottTrials
personally id go for stock as you have a wider variety of moves you can try. not just uci but the odd street move etc

Davey
I ride a stock bike but I secretly have feelings for a mod bike.......... I may have an affair pretty soon!!!But as everyone has already said, it depends what kinda stuff you ride (natural/street/flatland) and what you like the feel of, so don't really see what you'll get out of finding out everyone elses preference?!?!?xSxEx
poopipe
The ideal size of your wheels is inversely proportional to the size of your dongso, if you have a big willy you should be riding mod. if you have a small one you'll prefer stock.you decide
Ali C
personally I dont really understand how and why people would choose a mod to ride, but I am from a mtb background so I guess I have just always known 26" wheels.
Rebelistic
I think IMO a stock can be more versatile(sp). Eg for street, natural, skatepark, jumps etc.But then I've never tried a mod.
Luke Rainbird
24" But yeah, as mentioned, please use the search, as it does get a little tiring seeing this every week or soI know it's been moved towards "why do you prefer mod/stock" but that's the way they all go...Please
BIG L
100% mod.1)on a mod bike you have more control over the bike which makes you look better.2)you dont need massive wheels to get up something.3)on a mod you are alot sharper.4)everyone knows it's easier to bail in tricky situations on a mod.5)if you go over the handle bars on a mod most people can put their feet down withou hitting their privates but 26" most people can't.Well there you go 5 perfectly good reasons why a mod is better Cheers BIG L! poopipe
i think ali-c hit the nail on the head there reallyI'm from a bmx background (I seem to be moving back there - probably cos it's more fun) so I like small wheels, if I came from a mincing mountainbike background I'd probably have gone stockStocks are definitely harder to ride in the 'throw the bike around' sense but there's advantages to be had from riding a bigger bike - reach, for example. Rebelistic
There's a lot of mod riders who really don't seem to like stocks. I think it must depend a lot on your style of riding. I think perhaps a mod is better for pure trials (natural) with mostly hopping and no runups, but I prefer more flowing riding mixed with trials moves.I think stocks are great, I even prefer the more ordinary looking ones (eg Leeson).I also find it strange that 24" bikes are supposed to be more Streety than stocks even though I would think they would be more like a cross between mod and stock, ie. better for natural than a stock? At the end of the day I think it's better to just enjoy riding rather than worry about what size wheels you have.
