justfuzzit
Why use an XTR lever with the BB 7's? (Yes I did a search) And sorry about asking a stupid question that i should know anyway. Haha Edited June 24, 2006 by justfuzzit
GyTrials
Because XTR levers are one of the best cable levers you can get They pull the cable through well, offer the best feel and last for ever. Also feel solid as fook as long as you use a decent brake cable.

downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
Get the Avid straight jacket cable, they have an awesome solid feel to them, and they dont get lots of shit in them, and are easy to lubricate... hell, they are good all around!I only have a speed dial 5 lever on mine, but its good enough, so comfy on the finger... Could do with the XTR though
Clarky
I run avid ultimate on front with a xtr cable, its spongy as fook down to the cable, get some avid flatjacket table and they feel nice and solid.Clarky
Matthew_Gibson
When I was at Scunny, I had a quick go on Luke's bike. He ran an XTR lever. It was really nice. You could tell the difference between that and my Deore. I use a Shimano Deore at the min, (running up-side-down) It does the job, but it’s no a nice lever. Soon to get a XT so that should be better! I didn't like my avid too much, had a lot of wobble! As for cables I think it’s a Clarks or something like that. (The one you can get from Halfords) Sorry to steal your thread, but what is the best cable to get?Cheers Matt!

adamtrials
Why use an XTR lever with the BB 7's? (Yes I did a search) And sorry about asking a stupid question that i should know anyway. HahaWhat does that question actually mean?Does it mean why specifically an xtr lever?Or what are the good points of using the lever? Or why use a brake lever at all as opposed to pulling the cable by hand?Might just be the way its worded but that question really dosent seem to make sense to me
nickyw
At first I thought he meant it would be odd....

justfuzzit
Sorry about the confusion. What I meant was, why is the XTR lever better than the avid lever when using avid BB-7's?
