JohnBanks
I have found one of the best ways to bleed a Magura hs33 with water! Firstly.Take your brake off your bike (off the handlebars aswell)Secondly.Undo each end of the magura and place it under water.(in a bath purfurably)now start pulling the lever(if your brake is bled with oil just keep doing it till it looks like all the oil has come out)Thirdly.Pull the lever down till it bottoms out and then cover the part where the you undo the bolt on the lever (with the lever still pulled in and the lever and the pistons still under water)then let go of the lever. repeat this several times Fourthly. Tighten up the bolts on your magura and then there should be know bubbles in your brake dry it of and now you are ready to put your brake back on.Fithly.Place your brake in a sutibble place (about a m from your rim each side)if this is not to your liking move it closer of more faraway from the rim.put all your bark back on and you are ready to ride!chars john. ps. the best part of it is that you dent have to pay £21 for a bleeding kit Edited June 23, 2006 by mod_man
the judge
It does mean that you have to take the brake and grip off though You can also get a bleed kit for quite a bit cheaper than that e.g. MJCycles bleed kit £4.99Good guide though (even though I think it has been posted before)
