munkee
I was thinking about getting some trials shoes especially after bendee was lookin in to getting some a while ago and after having a gander on a few sites i saw these f**kers!http://tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=630http://tartybikes.co.uk/images/large_ribo.jpgAnyone rate the ribos at all? or are there better shoes out there? its nice to see adam and dave have had all the input on to the design of these so im guessing there going to be pretty damn good.Any comments to help me decide? Not too fussed on price to be fair as they are trials specific
Janson
ribo is the bomb.im ordering mine as soon as the money works into my PP. they're awesome shoes, sooo comfy!
JT!
If they're anything like my silver ones i wouldn't bother. They're ok, but i've got some nice bliseters of my feet from where they bend when you walk in them. They just arn't very comfortable, but great for riding in though.

Yea i heard about that from a few people and i just asked about it and i was told that the newer ones have a more flexible vent.. they are looking really tempting now! Waddy
the silver ones were shite, the new ones at tartybikes are like the origonal ones (blue/red) i think with more vents so they are flexyer than the sliver ones, iv orderd a pair they should be here on monday go for them thay are the best riding shoes ever
ghosts_cloak
Those look pretty funky!I regularly get sore feet when riding, kind of like cramp (maybe it is!), could this be down to poor choice of footwear?I use an ancient pair of vans skateshoes - the sole is almost worn through (some places have!) and was considering buying some new trainers. Are trials shoes such as the ones linked to worth it over skateshoes - what are the advantages? What are the ideal "characteristics" for a trials shoe other than grippy, flat soles? Do you want thin flexible soles for 'feel', or thick stiff soles?Cheers!Gareth
Ashley Smith
looking pretty swish, i like the idea of the vented sides, seems a good design, i hate riding with sweaty feet, dunno how they will hold up in the british winter weather though for waterproof etc.not badly priced in comparrison with other brands of trial specific shoe either, the ratchet buckle system seems a good idea also, thats probably one of the downfalls to the try-all not having this sytemash
Sam Nichols
I should imagine they won't 'hold up in the british weather'Designed specially by us for use in summer conditionsI'm a little confused though, have adam and dave simply copied that description across from the Ribo site or when it say's 'designed by us' does that actually mean designed by adam/dave? munkee
I had a little talk with adam about buying the shoes and from what i can tell the design is down to their specification. I.e. Its their design
tom e
i love mine, they've lasted a long time now, coming up to a yearexcellent for riding, but i try to walk on them as little as possible because i get nasty blisters on my toethese are the old ones though, i have no idea what the new ones are like
Ali C
I love them!I have some one off suade ones, they are very comfy! I did a days work in them and my feet were fine afterwards (did it to kinda break them in). They are a very close fit, which give maximum feedback through the pedals, the grips is also really good. They apparently have ankle protection, but its just neoprene, it wont offer much if any protection but it at least makes them comp legal.Unfortunatly, I ripped a buckle off one in a crash at the Euros, I am waiting for a replacement through my lbs, I cant ait till I can wear them again! Janson
I'm pretty sure that TB will start selling replacement buckles for the less fortunate among us.I've ragged mine but they're still fine, luckily.
anzo
My.God.I have to say that they are the most revolting things I've ever laid my eyes on. I'm no fashion freak, but I wouldn't be seen dead outside my house with those. Etnies all the way me thinks I'd buy them if they looked a bit smarter and less like pixie/bowling/futuristic boots. Janson
Black the silver bits out?I do kind of agree though, would have liked them even more if they were blue.. Like mine.. Yum..
PaRtZ
Im going to get a pair. I need to stop "multi-functioning" trials shoes + normal trainers cos my inopias have taken a beating lol. They look good, and if they are as good as people say I think they're worth the moneyAny ideas on how long they last?
