MadManMike
I have a Tamiya dirt buggy thing - can't remember model name.Anyway, apart from replacing the engine and things, what's fun and easy to do?Do wheels from other Tamiya cars fit or are they model specific?I've taken the front drive rods off for some drift action on some local sand...Little things like that are fun. I also took the front suspension off on really flat ground but that's not very sensible...Anyway, not worried about damaging it too much just want to liven it up. What have you done to yours? What can I do to mine?
adamtrials
I put a stupidly large engine in mine. ( think it was like a .46 engine instead of a .15 or something...)Was amazingly fun and fast, until the front wheels fell off...This was over two years ago with my dads buggy, i crash it whenever i drive it :$ Still havent fixed it, we've only ever driven it twice...Oh well, he always crashes my helicopters Edited June 22, 2006 by adamtrials

I really want to get into heli's.Its not too hard to learn, if your youngish/ into games you'll learn in no time.A proper rc heli sim means you can learn really quick and for free too, ive never crashed my helis.Im considering selling my heli stuff soon, ive got like 3 helis and all the other stuff required...Some random planes too. nmt_oli
You dont bore the engine with a dremel, you port and polish! if you get it right, its amazing (best gains to be had on cheap engines, expensive engines usually have most of the mods done already), if you do it wrong, it will shake itself to bits or not run at all.if you have electric, uprate the motor (go brushless if poss) and get some good batts. On any model, make sure it has bearings- cheap ones often have bushings.suspension is a very good upgrade to do, changes the handling a lot. Mr Motivator
Fit an MIP Stinger kit.Made quite a difference to my T-Maxx.Or just a new engine. Check out the new Traxxas 3.3, it's MENTAL SHIT!Don't bother with alloy wheels unless your going for style, the plastic ones are lighter and cheaper to replace if you crash. Simon
Get some maaaaaaad spinners yo!Woody - Out of his depth. On that note. What you need, is a spoiler made out of mechano. Go faster stripes painted on with house paint. Then you need a sunstip that covers half the windscreen. Monster truck wheels, that look the bollocks, but give the car a top speed of 1mph. A bean can bolted onto the back, with a lighter salotaped on (flamer kit and all that jazz). Then you need 2 maglights taped to each side facing forwards. Look shit, and are shit. Not forgetting to get the same for the back.I put way to much thought and effort into that shit.
Alun Goch
Make a custom exhaust for it, I made one with a vitamin pot and tin can, sounded quite abit louder, but was pathetically big though! Could route it to the back and have it central?Alun
MadManMike
I could do, but I don't think electric cars need exhausts lol
