anzo
Afternoon,I am wanting to get hold of a Hope C2, looking at aire vally cycles as it seems they are the only place that do them. I currently have a Hope Mono Trial, but I like a change, and I like how the C2 is user adjusted and not automatically adjusted like the Mono. However, I am curious as to how the C2 compares to the Mono? Is it worth the change over just a little feature and will it still give the same stopping power as my Mono? Not many people own the C2 as it appears, although I know one or two do on this forum so any feedback is welcome. Do the Mono Trial pads fit into the C2? Egg Fried Rice
i have a friend that uses a C2 and he said the only reason he uses a C2 is because that he can float the brake before the "bite" comes along instead of the having the "bite" straight away on the mono.thanksJohn Kan the china man
future orange 660
i thought you could morph the leves onto different calipers.someone at work put the old sport lever onto a pair of formula b's calipers. works a treat.maybe buy c2 lever. chan reaction do them i think.alternatively, wait for the new closed hope brake that was posted here a few weeks ago. the prototye version was anodized lime green. adamtrials
stuffThats not going to work, you can put any hope open lever on any open brake (assuming you have the correct fittings), but seeing as the c2 is closed it will only work with a closed caliper, the only decentone i can think of is the c2...The hope lever with the "tpa" is only for the closed brakes, the open version just has a fixed cap where the tpa normally is.You can pick up c2's cheapish from dh forums and ebay if your after a secondhand one
anzo
Anyone ever used a 4pot caliper on a trials bike? Out of interest? Although I think they only do them in 200mm discs, not very suitable for a mod frame.
Caleb
wayne used to use a hope 6ti brake, which worked for him i assume.id stick with the mono trial, the c2 was never really so powerful but the adjustability was flawless.the only other's i could reccomend would be the avidbb7juicyand their new ones . . adamtrials
I have seen 4 pot brakes on trials bikes, they are pretty good and have more modulation. If you want ive got a 6 pot clim8 brake that needs a new hose/ bodge that youcould experiment with...They are pretty damn good brakes too.
