F-Stop Junkie
Avid Ultimates (Carbon and Magnesium) and Code (big burly brakes) previewed on Singletrackworld.comOf decent note is the super powerful Code brakes, which include a TPA style adjuster, and a breakaway feature to stop the lever getting damaged if you stack! No word on pricing, expect them late-autum/early winter when the 07 stock hits the shops. Davetrials
What a shit tpa lol.looks like a beasty though!!
Luke Drewery
Yeah why make the TPA so thin and obtrusive? Its certainly gonna break off with the first hit to the lever, which tends to happen a lot in trials. I really like the look of them both though, but Ill stick with my Avid Mechanical I think, its given me a year of completely maintenance and problem free power (no pad changes, oiling etc) so I cant fault it. 011001000110010101110010
I think the TPA can be pulled up or pushed down. Would make sense because that would bend in a crash. Look good though, I'd expect it to be up to avids standards.
F-Stop Junkie
I don't think that's anything like as vulnerable as the old TPA... The breakaway lever thing sounds interesting to stop crash damage.
joker
that red rod that your all going on about is just an allen key that is used to adjust the tpa, its the one thats coming on new rockshox forks to adjust the floodgate i think, as sram rockshox avid are all the same......... adamtrials
That first one looks ace, loving the carbon lever
STEVE-0
Looks wack to me! And near on impossible to break the tpa in a crash, they should have thought of using an allen key long ago, because nearly evrything else uses one. It's not that bigger deal having to carry an allen key where you go, is it? Carbon fibreness looks hot though, probably end up breaking that...anyway, looking forward to hear how it preforms.Steeeve
