streetjibs
i got some 2nd hand pashley forks (very old) and put them on my et (yes its stil in 1pce!) anyways my weelbase has gone from about 1025ish out to just over 1040!! Im just curious as i see many people on ets and other 24s (leesons... drrooool!) using the pashley fork.... So, is my fork bent to buggery or is this how people prefer em??Forks im considering as possible replacement if it turns out the pashley fk i have is fkt...1. Identity Tuning Trials fork.... any comments? It looks a little less raked out then the pashly but i cud b wrong.2. Planet X Superlight fork.... right length 400mm, looks strong and just curious about weelbase again?at the mo this is my top choice.3. Another pash fork if its just the one iv got is bent to shit....4. Does anyone know if Mart stil has any of the older Ashton forks with the 24 inch mounts.?? That would be sweeet. Thats what iv got on ther now and i luv it. All in all il probly go the px forks.... but if it turns out the pashley forks on other ppls bikes arent givin them the hugely longer weelbase... im keen to try a new set.well i think thats bout it.... gone on and on but wen ur in oz and rely on maiil order parts... u gotta get it right. Thanks in advance for your help!Danny...... Edited June 20, 2006 by streetjibs
Tomm
My Pashley forks turned my Levelboss 1065 into a 1080. It's no big deal really. I don't think yours are bent, at least not significantly
Brian Bleech
my pashley forks are still going strong, they are good forks and you can't do much better really! that said a friend had standard px knifen forks on and it rode/looked sweet. I would avoid ashton (and copies) forks with the 24/26 mounts, they like to snap!
ghosts_cloak
Hiya, I have pashleys on my Leeson, which is supposed to have a 1020mm wheelbase... I will measure it later and let you know!Gareth
Connor
ive got some i.d's i can sell you if they are bent
Tomm
Clive says that he makes the Leesons around a Pashley fork anyway. I think there's probably a bit of difference in Pashley forks - bad quality control perhaps. Although it doesn't really affect the ride so meh
