DGrabiec
Before I buy a DMR STS chain tensioner, could anybody tell me if you can get those to work on a Chris King Hub. Any pictures would be perfect! Thanks,Dan G.
TheMunn
It will work on a king hub with the normal axle, but it won't on a king hub with the hd axle.Speak to todge about making a fresh tensioner with the king hd axle bolt sized hole in it maybe ? MikeCottTrials
remember you cant fit bmx chains through them either unless you do some remodelling Edited June 18, 2006 by MikeCottTrials
Luke Rainbird
I'm sure you can, you sure you're thinking of the STS?!Normally wouldn't bother you, but since I was running one on my jump bike... Sorry dude, read it wrong... Missed the remodelling bit Edited June 18, 2006 by rideside
Robwalker
Well the hole to clamp it onto your bike is only done by quick release, bit i just took it out and drilled it out and there was plenty of room. Works a treat.
DGrabiec
So basically that little extra piece thats suppose to go onto a quick release is big enough that I can just drill it slightly bigger to accomodate a king?
Robwalker
Yep, im not to sure on kings but i think its the same size bolt at my pro 2? So yeah just drill it through and you'll find it fits just perfect. Also i found the bolt that joins the derailuer to the mech hanger is pretty crap and found its better to use a nut and bolt to get it really tight and you can get it all that much tighter because you dont have to worry about stripping the crappy alu threads.
