unicycle boy
HeyI was just wondering whether anyone had any idea about installing a new cable between the slave cilinders on the back brake? I have looked on the internet and all I can find is that you just slowely hammer it in with a block of wood in the way. Although I have been trying this and all it seems to achieve is stretching the rubber in the cable. So could anyone give me some ideas on what to do?Also I have all the parts I need and also lots of spare cable so I am happy to try most things ThanksEdit : I am talking about attaching the 'Hydraulic Pipe Nipple' mainly Edited June 17, 2006 by unicycle boy
bhups
Don't you undo the bolts conecting the cross over to the slaves with a 8mm spanner? Then get your new cable put the little olive on then screw thee bolt up again then rebleed. unicycle boy
Well I have taken off the tube and its more attaching the 'Hydraulic Pipe Nipple' into the new tube.Sorry I should have made that clearer
King C
If your trying to reconnect the cross overs or what ever, what I do is put the hosing in the hose clamps and in the vice. Heat the hosing with a lighter for 3 seconds then push the nipple into the hosing but heres the trick. Have the nipple already screwed into a slave. This way you have something to hold onto and push down with. Works a treat.
