streetmad
Right. I swopped my old Base TA26 for a brand new 06 Monty 219 Magura Disc as i fancied abit of a change. Anyhew, im really sick of it and im not enjoying riding as i just get bored. I want to make it more streety by changing the bars and stem. Iv got the bottom of the range monty flats and long stem (like the onza t-bird bar n stem). Can anyone recommend a good size n rise stem to go with some risers to help me with getting back the bunnyhops, manuels, etc? Maybe a stock stem would be better?....i duno. And nothing to pricey guys n gals i dont want to be spending bucket loads of cash Sorry if there is some info on this already but i did try using the search. Thanks
Brian Bleech
check out http://www.26twenty.com one of the guys on there rides a monty mod (very well) for street, has azonics on it I think.
CBProductions
I run echo stem and zoo bars which when tilted slightly back give a lovely feel to my long mod so Id recommend them or the onza stem on tarty and zoo bars.

Steve-A when he had a Leeson mod tried this out and it made the bike horrible, the only thing it made easier to do was x-ups. It had no advantages to bunnyhop's, manuels etc. After about a week he switched back to an echo bar and stem as the bike rode superb for street with that setup (or as good as the bike was going to ride for 'streety' moves). However this was a leeson mod, I do not know the geometry of it, possibly the geometry didn't suit to accomodate a low bar and stem. The only thing you could do really is try it.... Dan
CurtisRider
i had a t master copy stem by viz (highrise) and tried both easton ea70 and truvative hussefelt bars(both 2 inch rise)-it felt superb! the higher upfront it is the better itll feel i found-this was on my old monty and i used to for street stuff
Walleee
If you want to keep it all monty spec i'd go for a 221Pr stem along with the Ti bars or else the same stem with some other riser bars....
poopipe
onza stem and zoo bars slightly tilted back - definitely the way to go, you'll be bunnyhopping like benito in no time.
Greetings
I'd advise getting the V!Z stem and Monty Riser bars and tilting them backwards.edit: didn't read the post above ZOO bars IMHO are too wide to give you the proper streety feel. Monty's are 680mm and that's great for trials, and will be much better for streetish riding than the ZOO. Ali C
get what you want, but the key thing to bunnyhops and manuals is having back sweep on your bars, so get them tilted back.

Walleee
get what you want, but the key thing to bunnyhops and manuals is having back sweep on your bars, so get them tilted back.Right enough? How does it help? I'm going to have to re-adjust mine a little further back as mine are fairly far forward at the minute....
Ali C
it gets your weight further back, puts your shoulders, arms, wrists in a better shape for pulling up etc
