Onza Hognesium Pedals

Has anyone ever had any problems with these?? because my m8s got some but lastnight when we were out riding his pedal body fell off the axel whilst just riding along but the nut that holds it on is still on the axel, so im not quite sure how this happend. any ideas?? cheers

Onza Hognesium pedals are purely weight saving pedals for competition riding, I remember using a set of these and if I hit the pedal hard on the wall the magnesium would literally tear off the pedal and their would be chunks of it on the wall, being as magnesium is a soft material.

I wouldn't cast that as a fault or problem with the pedal though, like I said these pedals are not designed for heavy abuse, and are made for competition (or riders that do not sidehop to pedal or bash their pedals around) as they are really light.

This is the first time I have heard of the pedal falling off the axle though...
