EchoOz
what ever feels comfortable to you. I personally use 1 finger and have my brakes positioned so that the brake lever groove is where my finger goes for maximum brake power. Alun Goch
what is/are grinds's tar? :$Grind = To roughen the rims braking surface with an angle grinder.Tar = Tar! Applied to the rim it gives more friction.People do these to give better locking power from the brake, but compromises modulation.Personally I'd say don't bother doing this for a while, as it is much easier to work with the brake after having experience with it, and you will be better at understanding what happens when you change things etc.And I use 1 finger by the way!Alun

Mark W
I actually tried out 2 finger braking again on Sunday just to see what it was like having used 1 finger for the past 3 years (2 finger for the 2 years before that ). I couldn't backhop with 2 finger braking, just felt like I wasn't holding onto the bars at all.The only time I ever use it is if I'm getting armpump at a comp and need to hold the brake on for any reason, so I'll just use my middle finger as well just to ease the load. eskimo
I agree with the 90% of people here. One finger for control. Your brake should be set up so you can use one finger confidently. Allot of bmxers use two fingers purely for the fact that bmx brakes aren't the best. Although people are now disputing the fact that bmx brakes are rubbish these days.
