Mr Plod
Hey well I missed the post today with my lever body in and so I'm desperate to ride. Only problem is I broke the bit where the bolt screws into which tightens the body to the handlebar.Heres a pic to show you what I mean:Anyone got a suggestion as to how I can bodge it so the body stays in place so that I can ride till I pick up my new body from the post office. (Have to wait 48 hours...)I've considered Zip Ties and paper in between the bracket and the bar. What about wrapping a mass of ducktape around it? Anymore suggestions would be much appreciated.CheersEric

Mr Plod
At the moment I'm deseperate.. but not that desperate. Only kidding. Thing is I don't really want to resort to that as I want something thats easy to hold it in place and easy to take off. Cheers though
quick_spider
I'd try duct tape to be honest. Having run RB levers which you can't have the clamp very tight anyway, they don't need to be held too fimly in place.Jon

Simpson
if i were you id try 4 or 5 layers of duct tape on the bar then pulling the clamp open and pulling it on top of the tape - the clamp sould then tighen up onto it but with the bolt open slightlyhope this made sence :$

Just theres nothing for the bolt to screw into lol. Thats what I meant by my problem... The bit the bolt screws into half the casing snapped off so nothing for it to screw into and hold the clamp tight around the bar.Cheers though

nafan
Yeah, a jubilee clip would work, otherwise (I assume you're getting a new lever) try either finding somewhere to cable tie it REALLY TIGHT or drill a hole through it and cable tie it... Probably a stupid suggestion but the ol' tie raps seem to work wonders for most problems...Good luck, Nathan
Thurston
Right now i'm using electric tape to hold mine onto the bars I've had it like that for several months now, works fine
