Jaffacakes
You wont get a answer mate, you'll just get a couple of pages of oppinions. Most people (including myself) bum water, others like the slow crappy feel of oil
fruitbat
Diesel works wonders for me, not as slow as oil but not as crap and thin as water, Waynio introduced me to it via Bucky i think and its a cracking ideaI used to use water but it feels too thin and crappy after a whileFrooty
N.Wood
Agreed...But i think everyone prefers the feel of water, but some have had problems with the seals drying out and leaking. I've been using water and anti-freeze for about a year, and havn't had any problems.

baladi
if you use water you should be carefull at what temepratures you keep your bike over night. i would recomend at least any type of oil if not the magura one.... It takes care of your rubber fittings...you know.
sunn_bmixx
use distilled water if you do as this will prevent your seals from rotting. But remrember water has oxygen in its compound therefore as its starts to degrade(break up) the oxygen will turn into little bobble which in turn will make the brake gain an air bubble. I would stick to the oil as this is what the brakes are made for and i havent noticed any difference between oil and water and i think it is all in the mind people saying there is a difference. Thats my opinion though and that is what i recomend.thank youIan Bloomfield
Danny Foster
Just like the guy said in the first post, all it will boil down to, eventually, is personal opinion. Before i was sponsored i used to bleed my brakes with oil to save having to fork out £70 every six months (which i think is the main arguement for most people). But, now i get them cheaper i use water purely because the feel is great and much more responsive. Also, regarding what someone said earlier 'oil is slow' most of the time it is. But if you can master the art of bleeding a brake well with oil, which some of my friends have, then that would be awesome.Danny.
