hey guy's

i can't decide which tires to get for my mod,

At the moment i a rolling on some creepy crawlers they have lasted me ages and they are nice to ride with. when they had tread the were really nice to ride even when i was ridding on super low pressure i had never had a pinched tube from doing gaps and stuff but now the tread is getting to the minimun i am looking for some new ones.

well i would get the same set again but i would like to try some other tires but don't now which one to start with. i have heard some different comments about about different tires such as the koxx try-all tires are very slow to ride but they meant to grip really well, is this true or is it not.

what do you think of the koxx try-all tires

but then we come to the new monty tires for my mod, i have not heard anything about these can some one please tell me if they can what they are like and how long do they last

and if you were me what would you go for?????

thanks alot guys this would help me loads

Right matey. Creepy crawlers are the best mod tyre out there and they last for ages and they are super gripy.

As for what would i go for. Well it all depends if you do more street than natural.

Street:

I would personally go for creepy crawlers, they are amazingly good for me and last me for ages.

As for them monty tyres they are also really good, they have a brilliant wear rate and are fairly grippy to some extent.

Natural:

You are better off going for koxx try-all tyres if you ride natural most of the time, because the wear rate on them is really poor. My mate ran some and he rides pure street, they lasted him 3-4 weeks maximum till they were totally demolished e.g - ripped, inner-tube comeing through. You name it.

Also try-all tyres are way to over priced, if you are running abit low on cash, take a visit here and order some more.

There's my honest and personal opinion. (Y)

Cheers !

Selectbikes.

I've had 2 or 3 Crawlers now.

I'm too tight to by Try-Alls, and apparently they don't last as long.

My next rear tyre will be the Monty 2.7.

£20 from Cleanbikes.

Look really grippy, and huge. ^_^(Y)

Thats for the front...

Creepy Crawler rear, Try-All front. The front Try-Alls are lighter and grippier on the front, and seem to shed mud a load better than Maxxis tyres do, so they're nice for natural. The fact they seem to wear a little quicker doesn't really matter on the front either, just 'cos it takes longer to rag through front tyres anyway. My first Try-All lasted around 9 months or so, to give you a clue. My Creepy Crawlers seem to last about 1.5-3months on the back though, before they're pretty bald.

Only downsides of the Creepy Crawler is that they're pretty easy to pinch, and the sidewalls have a weird rebound to them. They're not very predictable, and they just feel weird if you're running lower pressures and riding natural or going off stuff at an angle.

Tempting to try a Try-All if I have some money ever again, but I guess I'll probably just stick with cheap ol' Creepy Crawlers.

If you're going to try the 2.7 Monty tyre, double check that it'll actually fit in your frame first :)

monty are good and the new ones have megga grip? you should look into them, although maxxis are really good and are good for natural and street and have long lasting wear time.

Ian

yea monty tyres are the best but they dont make them no more :(

I would just get some maxxes creep crawler tyres because they are probably the best tyres out there and if you run them at a pressure of about 30 psi they shouldent wear to quickly and should last a fair bit.
