TykeTrial
The Committee at TykeTrial want to thank everyone that took part in this two-day event. The Fun Trial on Saturday went really well, with everyone taking part in the spirit of the event, getting along with their team-mates and just having a great time and a good laugh. Even our "roaming observers" enjoyed the day!We had loads of new members who've promised to come back for more ... and we even had several oldies having a go, with other dads going to have a go next time. Members of the winning team of the day "The Power Rangers" won a copy of the Trial Noir DVD each, with booby prizes for all the other teams right down to "Barbara's Angels" coming in a spectacular last! The highlight of the fancy dress riders just had to be the hairy-chested streaker who rode in his wig and underpants all day; with the two elegant ladies in the blonde wig, helmets and grass skirts coming a close second. I am sure that someone will post up pictures in due course. Many thanks to our 'Trials dignatories', Heather and Karen, for judging the fancy dress, unfortunately we don't think that the prize of 56 pounds (of potatoes) was appreciated!!!!!! Michelle and crew put on a really good spread of food for us on Saturday night; and better football was deemed to have been played on the field than on the TV!The bonfire was much appreciated to keep away the midges as the evening wore on, and provided a welcome source of light while observers and helpers demolished their 'thankyou' wine.Bacon butties for breakfast made a good start to Sunday morning before the extra riders started turning up. A very brief shower temporarily made us relieved that we had the marquee to shelter in - but within minutes it turned out that we were sheltering from the sun and not the rain! It could take a lot of people several sleepless nights of sunburn pain to get over how amazing the weather stayed for us throughout the weekend, a very pleasant change from the usual wind and rain we get at events. All in all, a great weekend, brilliant riding, brilliant atmosphere, impeccable behaviour and just great fun.Thank you all.TykeTrial
Waynio
there was much better football played on the field @ Brimham than englands 1st world cup game.the football was well funny altho im sure someone would have been sent off for a FULL blown foul on one of the lads, cant remember who made it and who it was on, but he was down for a few minutes feeling it The fancy dress was Mike Carling what a chappie, he should be the new dude that does the 118 adverts as he was much more professional at it..........nice stretches mikeYe i must say a big well done to barbara for her efforts in getting the today event back into the limelight i think there will be more to ocme, but a BIG special thanks goes to John Peacock, he kept my mum and dad (who stayed and watched a full trial) PURELY cos John was so entertaining. i hope to see you start at section7 at the next trial with me john and you were well good enough to do Inter this time and will be for next time!!!!The food from the catering van was spot on couldnt have asked for more, lets hope nobody tries to book our buttie van.theres too much to write, i woke up @9 this morning and had to be @ work for 9.30 so im still half asleep. BUT hey i can still remember all the highlights of the weekend.deffinatly a BIG well done to all the young lads, i think there are 4 or 5 5/6 year old lads which are obviously the "Future" of our sport.Waynio.............................PS someone get some pictures up of Mike and some of the riding. was such a good weekend. it must have been one of the Hottest weekends on record too. it was a scorcher. walker
Thanks to every one for an awesome weekend!! The highlights for me were: Sexy Mikes fancy dress, when he walked out for the first time and paraded infront of every one, flexing and stretching!! hilarious. It was also great to see John Peacock, Barbara and Neil Raven riding (Neil hadn't ridden tykes in about 8 yrs!!)The football on saturday night was so funny, with waynes complete disreard for his own safty and robbies Wasp!! What a nutter. And Ali C, what a footballer!! Walker, Mike and Wayne know what i mean!!Someone (not mentioning any names (Arleys Angels ) put cow poo under Ali's car door handle!!, which i fell for!!, twice :$ , what an idiot!!The comp on sunday was really good, i was knackered and still am now! Hpe to see some pics of the weekend up soon.We need more weekends like this!!-Andrew
Waynio
hahawalk aw it was me that did the cow patt under the handle and it was one of the adults that said to me:"god you havent lived, until you have blathered someones door handle is cow patt" so it gave me the idea OH and it was Mick Bolt and Andy Feeley who told me they had done it before yes the football was hilarious, i fell off Robbies wasp after an "endo volley" and had a hand full off cow patt, which chris walker enjoyed pulling me back up and having a hand full too THEN savage got the ball on half way went to chip it to me, BUT mike got in the way (not knowing) the ball was full off cow PATT!!! and had a forehead full of cow patt hilarious!!!! none stop fun and games.Who saw john peacock playing footy???? Waynio............................walk aw you cant put cow patt on golf handles eiter there fool proof are german cars. you can see if anyone has put cow patt on it, as its a grab handle instead of a pull out handle so you wont be able to get me back (well you probably will)
Hurman
A truly memorable weekend with a superb atmosphere. I feel we are so lucky to have such a well organised and dedicated club on our doorstep. I also think this weekend just showed what being part of a club is all about, not only were both days of trials fantastic but the social side of things was as good as it gets. The team trial is a super way of getting everyone together and to chat with people you may never see because they are not in your class and start at a different section to you on each trial. It also allowed the younger lads in the begineers and novice classes to ride with experts and elite which can only be a good thing. It also allowed a few spirits to be re kindled and allowed us young mums and dads to have a go and see if it really is as easy as you guys make it look It isn't! A big thanks to the Pied Piper, Mr Wayne Mahommet for giving so much time to the young lads. Even when he was in the middle of a section and a small voice shouted out 'Waynio' he still had time to reply politely. He also kept the kids and young lads entertained after the team trial when we all went for a practice session, although I must sayI was impressed by the respect he was given by the the lads who let him get on with what he was doing and didn't pester him. After he had left the move he was trying they all jumped up there with their bikes and tried to do the same, with varying degrees of success but definately with the belief they could do it.The food and facilites were excellent and turned a farmers field into a huge open air resteraunt and managed to feed many hungry mouths. We also had the best constructed fire I have ever seen which allowed the wood collected by the kids (big and small) to last much longer, we had the best of everything A superb weekend and all involved, organisers and riders, should be proud of themselves. Waynio
the water fight on sunday night. WHERE did adam get that bottle of water (more like a tanker!!!) and was still able to swill me to death with it, i even tried hiding on my blinking car roof, but he still got me i caught some glimpses of Neil Ravens riding (Hurman ^^^^) and i tell you something, he still had the edge he must have had a few years ago!!!! all in all there was sooooooooo much happening and going on. i rekon every trial should be a 2 day trial BARBARA................... Waynio........................it was also much appreciated from my behalf for all the observers that observed on saturday AND sunday. dont forget trials cant be held without people who give up their time to do this theres so many people to thank, if i miss something out, or if i "re-remember" what i remembered il post up. things just keep popping back into my head

joe b
Really, really, really enjoyed it. Even though i didn't ride the first day, which i thought i thought, for a number of undisclosed reasons, could have seriously damaged my health and my ride the next day! But i'll just be chuckling from the anecdotes from people that did stay for the two days...It was really well organised, and much like everyone else, i think there should be a few more two-day sessions going down, in the future! Thanks again,Joe.

Hurman
That pic doesn't do Mike's costume any justice though Anybody got any pics with his moustache, chest wig, and medallion? Yeah, sorry about that but his outfit slowly fell off as he went round the sections and the picture was taken at the end of the day. I am sure someone will have a good picture of him at the start but in the meantime here he is walking away with his 56 pounds prize for best fancy dress
