bikerider
I found that Trashzen really helpful. The little video type things really worked for me. im having problems trackstanding.. i just kep falling over..help please.. ... i am using a normal bike though.. jst parctising until i get mine.Have you tried getting hold of a copy of 'Tricks and Stunts' video? That's got some good pointers on all aspects of riding. I've always found that focusing on a point on the ground or a wall (like a tar spot or something) will help with your balancing

scazz
My favourite turorial sites: (I'm sure there are more good ones, but these are the ones I've found useful)http://www.trashzen.com/ Standard, seems to be everyone's fav.http://www.trialsride.com/ I like it - its my fav. Nice pics, good walk through and movieshttp://www.koxx.fr/index.php?lg=fr_FR&sec=...DB428a7ae83bc36^^ These are the koxx training movies. There are links to 10 of them, but there are actually 11 movies. Just change 10.wmv to 11.wmv in the urlIts quite good - no talking as it's Japanise, but I like it - nice variations of everything to get you more consistant and comfortable doing the moves. IMO, someone should post a stickey with tutorial sites until they are created here.ScazzEDIT: http://propatcher.tripod.com/format/how.html?EZGoal.comA text based guide - you said you wanted someone to post a guide - this talks you through most moves if you prefer it.http://www.trials-online.com/trials-techniques.phpAnother good site with alot of videos and text based guides if propatcher isn't for you Edited June 12, 2006 by scazz
Waynio
if you can balance well you can ride trials well.alot of lads try do big moves but have a less ability to balance and this is where they are undone. its like motorbike trials, if you can balance the bike you can move it about, but balance i have found in the past 12months is the MAJOR key to sucessin trials. i prefer balancing trials moves, everyone can backhop and gap and stuff, but who can wedge in somewhere balance and go? try putting your front wheel on top of a small wall, roll back (controlled with ur brakes) and stop see how long you can stay there for ONLY balancing with movement of your legs arms, try keep the bike in the same position. its really good fun. and it brings balance on amazing.Waynio..................... PaRtZ
alot of lads try do big moves but have a less ability to balance and this is where they are undonetoo true. Its unfortuntate to see it too because they've worked hard trying to get big lines done, but when it comes to a point the balance needed for some moves just isn't there and their riding so far has been a waste As for the guide thing trashzen is pretty good, but the best advice you can get is from another rider, preferrably a pretty newish one as they will remember what they struggled with when they were practicing
Mark W
alot of lads try do big moves but have a less ability to balance and this is where they are undone. Definitely You can really tell how good a rider is just from looking at their style, too. If someone's ridden for a long time, they tend to just have more control, and their riding tends to look smoother and nicer, or so it seems. Pity that it's more important to go big now I guess. Some stuff here too.
CBProductions
I know that the dvd : Mastering the Art Of Trials isnt great and it costs but I found the way he explains things and shows you really good , It has helped me a lot.
