tom tom
i was watching a film the over night on tv have no idea what it was and as always they have the news in the middle, normally at this time i fall asleep and forget about the film and wake up the next morning to either trisha or the breakfast show (both crap depending on what time i get up) but anyway the last film i watched i decided to watch the news the first this that comes up on the little film bits is a really really really fat man litrally just a mass of fat, takes a towel off as it all flaps about on his stomach and he stands on a (big) set of scales, instead of weight it has money, then they go on to say how fat (obese) people are costing the NHS too much money and it is becoming more of a disease than a health issue they describe. do you think this will be put into place (charging money for carrying fat) to help cut down on general obesity i don't think it will count for actual illness causing obesity but what are your views?tom tom personally i think they should provide lypo sucktion at a cheaper price and advertise it and then go on to fine a way to burn it as a fuel
Janson
the only way of losing fat is working it off. if you find a 500 lbs fatty and liposuck it down to 150 or whatever, they'll gain loads again. one needs to change the eating and excercise habits in order to get somewhere.fat people should be punished by having to eat right. that'll teach them! fruitbat
they wont start charging people for being fat, the country is bad but it isn't that badAs for fat people i know i aint a small lad myself but theres fat and theres bleeding fat, there was a show the other night about fat women having sex and one HUGE HUGE woman like 50 stone plus talking about her 'great' sex life with her 15 stone partner, made me sick just seeing her and the worst thing is she wasn't bothered by it, had her own 'light porn' website and everythingFat people, as Janson said, should be made to eat properly as a punishment and a cure, kills 2 birds with one stone (or boulder as the case may be)Frooty

ogre
By fat do you mean like crazy assed jigglyness? I think it's a good idea! it just depends on who gets taxed, i.e people with mini-man-boobs and a bit of extra round their stomach should get away with it. Or will it just be the absolute tanks you see in mcdonalds all day, if so tax away!

Michael Hardman
That was my smart alic comment.I actually think its unethical to charge extra becasue your fat, we all have a right to free healthcare, the real problem is fat people's attitudes need to be changed, people don't care these days until its too late. Also you can easily argue why should you or I nothave to pay a tax becasue we go out riding our bikes where the possibility of an injury is greatly increased. It cant be done, one thing cant be justified over another.Has that shocked you all.But yep the less people left due to being fat, smoking, frugies etc then the more there is for the rest of us. Just had to get that in.I almost forgot to add that we are all entitled to a free NHS and its the beauracy (sp) of the NHS that is killing it and resulted in this idea being thrown up. If they managed the money better then they would ahve the funds to provide a free service to everyone no matter what thier circumstances. Stop spending money on statues and more on streamlining the NHS, they don't need half the managerial staff, it overvcompicates everything and becomes too political and buisness like than a service. I'm also intressted to see if children will get taxed (theres some lardass kids nowadays) and how thye will judge if your a genuine fatty that needs taxing, or your just a bit cuddlier than most people like fruitbat <3 or me where it isn't going to be a problem... Smo™
I think it's a joke that they want to charge fat people extra. Pretty soon they'll want to charge thin people, then tall people and quite possibly male and female people. F*cking discrimination.

Smo™
wow i thought it was a good idea Lets say you snap your spine on your bike and can't walk anymore. You're at home in a wheelchair and gradually put on weight because you don't get any exercise. Before you know it you're fat and have to pay more money for healthcare. Still think it's a good idea? Greetings
Some people just can't help being fat. This is something you are born with (some kind of cells which accumulate fat and you can't get rid of them) so having people who can't deal with this in any way pay for their body weight is very unfair. My mum has a few english friends which are very fat and despite a great effort they can't help it.It's like punishing ginger people I suppose, but then they don't cost the NHS anything
