How long will the bottom bracket have to be if i'm going to run an saracen xile frame (Horizontal dropouts), with a Ultimate Hardware crankset 170mm long(22T), on single speed 22:18T ?

How do you work out how long the bb needs to be?

There is three sizes it could be 112, 118, 127 Now I have a 118 in my bike with three bb spacers, it should really have a 127 in it, so if you get a 118 be sure to get some spacers incase.

I am damn sure you can get a 121.5 as well.

Can you go into a bit more detail on the spacers, what the effect will be! (im only a beginner)

Get a shimano UN53 from wiggle.com

Cheap as chips, and everlasting too.

You can probably use a 112.5 or something like that, as exiles aren't exactly trialsy frames in terms of chainstay width, but if you want to be safe get 122.5 or something.
