bikerider
Just to re-introduce myself (I had a pre-members account here before but I can remember the name or password etc).I've started giving biketrials a bash again, I keep having long periods were I go completely off of the sport but I've started up again and am enjoying it more than ever, and find it is helping my moto-trials even more now. I've got a Megamo Equip 26", which isn't exactly perfect for my needs (I'm 6 foot and find it a bit short sometimes), but I enjoy riding it.I mainly ride the motorbike trials, I've done it for the last 6/7 years at all levels (club/centre/national and international), so if anyone is interested in the sport then I'm always willing to answer questions!Right, enough of my life story!thanksDan Edited June 9, 2006 by bikerider
Danno
Megamo Equip's were such a cool bike, I remember watching Marc Caisso at a bike show a few years ago and he was riding one.The stem looks rather long though, I know they did come with mod stems as a standard spec, but that stem just looks way too long Dan. It's the only way I can get over the short wheelbase though (I think it's 1030/1040) and it's not too bad to ride with
Scotty Evil1
Hello and welcome!!Biketrials is a grand sport, so its good your back(Y).Im the complete opposite to you!Ive been doing biketrials for 10 years now, i got a motorbike about 4 years ago, and i rode it for a year none stop, luved it. I done a few club comps( came 2nd in my first one, then 4th then 3rd).But where i do biketrials comps most weekends|( i do club, national and international) i kind of lost the time to do it, really wnat to get back into it proper, i think if i stuck with it and tryed hard i could of been alright on it.I used to hang around with Toni bou at the world championships a few years back when he rode, im sure you've heard of him!So, yeah welcome! What type of international comps have you done??LaterzzzzScott

A lot of people I know have given up trials at 16 or after 3 or 4 years or so. Like biketrials, improvement seems to come in stages, you'll practice for ages trying to make something work and then one day, it suddenly clicks! It's very disheartening. I'm wanting to have a bash at biketrials though, can I do club level using my current ACU licence? I used to hang around with Toni bou at the world championships a few years back when he rode, im sure you've heard of him!Toni Bou is probably the most talked about rider at the moment. A friend of my Dad's was the one who 'spotted' his talent and has played a key part in putting him where he his now. He also 'discovered' Loris Gubian who you might have heard of?What type of international comps have you done??I did the Hawkstone international, which I had a terrible day, and I do quite a few of the European twinshock championship rounds. I've also done a few of the single events - Beuvale en Caux, cingles, Bilstain if you've heard of any of them?Dan

Yes i think you should be able to, if you decide to do any bigger comps, like nationals, you will need a BIU license.Toni Bou is probably the most talked about rider at the moment.
