Getting The Stickers Of A Zona!

Recommended Posts

Hi i have searched the forum on how to take the stickers of a zona zip but couldn't find anything of use, so i was woundering if any of you guys have taken the stickers of your zip before and how you did and wether or not it scratched all your frame up or not.

i tried using glass paper on the front Z to take the laker and the sticker off, it worked but scratched the frame a bit.

any help will be much appreciated.

cheers

Dan

i think he means some thing like paint thinner, and will that work to strip the whole frame as well, ans does any one have a picture of a stripped zip frame?

cheers

Dan

if you're going to take laquer off you might as well nitromorse it - you'll be done in half an hour and if you're careful you don't even have to dismantle your bike.

it should be fine to use nitromors to get the lacquer off, as the Zona's are anodised aren't they?

also, you will void your warranty, but i'm sure i read something about it not being warrantied was because of branding.

so in theory i'f you make some more stickers, the warranty should be fine. (Y)

Nitromors is a paintstripper, it comes in a geen tin/tub, you can find it in most good hardware shops.

an £8 tin will do about two frames completely, so you get loads.

Is this for the grey zona aswell.?

Sorry if this sounds stupid but what are thinners.? :$

Cheers !

Yes

Use paint stripper on the stickered part, heat sticker an peel off, use adhesive remover to get rid of any glue, re laquer

Paint stipper will go straight though the laquer, then straight though the sticker and and throiugh the paint in about 10 seconds

You only put it on for a while until the laquer comes away, just wash it off then

Takes more than 10 seconds btw
