baladi
Hope pro 2 is wider. i mean that the 2 disks with holes for spokes are more apart from eachother than the CK so it's more trials like..... this is a good thig as it keeps your wheel stiffer Edited June 5, 2006 by baladi
Zordon
For bigger distance between flanges and dishless wheel you can buy Chris King Singlespeed hub Edited June 5, 2006 by zordon
Ali C
but you cant use gears and enter comps, which sucks
trialsalot
i swore by my ck after i blew up every hope hub under the sun an i lost every bit of faith in hope.thought id get a pro 2 to see what the crack was all about an my ck aint even had a whisker of action since i got the pro.i cant feel any difference between the 2 apart from the pro2 is solid under power but i always felt that my ck felt a bit spongey kinda.they are just so simple inside too.im not pro by any means but theres pros changing from cks to pro2s.look at stan for example, king to a hope.stans still running a prototype one from a while back an its still going strong.at the end of the day its what you feel works best for you.i love my hope now and im reassured by how good the afterservice is.if you can try both for a long time, dont just jump off your bike then onto your mates who has a hope because you wont notice diddly squat.hopes for me all the way craig
Zordon
but you cant use gears and enter comps, which sucks can't enter comps - truecan't use gears - I would argue as the ck ss driveshell is wide enough to mount at least two sprockets (I think I saw somewhere ck ss with three sprockets). FoxRacer
from what I know you actually can enter comps with one sprocket, according to the current UCI regulations.I'd go with King, engagment system is much better for trials
Zordon
According to trials regulations on uci.ch website a stock trials bike should have at least 6 working gears of different size:7.4.07 Normal commercially available 26'' wheel mountain bikes with a minimum of working 6 gears ofdifferent size shall be permitted. Rich Pearson
The Pro 2 is designed specifically for trials. The Chris Kings are not.The Pro 2 can only possibly skip onto the next set of pawls before reingaging. The Kings can and have skiped full rotations on people before now.the Pro 2 doesn't need any fancy or expensive upgrades to make it tough enough for trials like funbolts or HD axels as they come as standard. The kings need these things and they cost extra. Usually a lot extra.Rich
Trials Boy
don't care if they'r british or not, i'm norwegian:PSo?Still 6 brilliant points wheel is stiffer and a lot stronger as its dishlesswheel is easier to build as it uses the same length spokes on the drive and non drive side.engagment feels stiffer than a kingVERY reliable (had mine for months now without any skips)AMAZING customer service, really quick too.Cheaper

Greetings
How can you possibly assess a hub which has only just been released? Give them at least a year and then you can call them good. At the moment they SEEM good.
