no

Actualy Ash it is possible, and has been done..........

I seem to remember Edd Potts cutting down and machining a hope Xc to fit mod wheel spacing, but then again he does have all the skills and neccasary tools to do such a job (lucky bugger).

in the real world i supose Ash is right, but there is realy no point, as a profile mini cassette hub is one of the most reliable mod hub ever, you can get a King BMX hub which will fit a mod but these are expensive, but now there are alot more reliable screw on freewheels, such as the ENO trials and Tensile freewheel (Y)

urm....can someone tell me, is he trying to get a stock king hub onto his mod? cos why dont u just buy a BMX chris king hub, they work for mods.

John K

Thats exactly what I thought. Only thing that this would achieve is getting a hope 2 on a mod

But I think its still stupid imo but meh go for it (Y)

are bmx kings the same as the classics?

or am i just being silly?

The shell is the same, that is how it is posible to fit an ISO sheel to a CK bmx hub if you want to run a rear disc, but it is only the shell that is the same, they have different axles and the cassette body is ALOT smaller so that it only accomodates 1 cog.

Like i said above, there realy isn't much point with all the decent freewheel setups you can get on a mod now (Y)

Fair enough.

True... I would just use a tensile freewheel if I was to have a mod :)

Cheaper.. and they seem to work pretty good.

There was a massive arguement about this a while ago but in my opinion profile's are better than chris king's. My reasoning for that is:

1: Alot cheaper.

2: Nicer sound to them.

They may have less engagement points than a chris king but i can not tell one bit of difference to be honest. So either a profile or an ENO sounds good.

Cheers ! (Y)

You cant base your reasonin on the f**kin sounds of a hub, thats bollocks.

Profiles are good yes, but mine on my triasbike used to skip and the one on my bmx now skips every now an again.

Why you brough tprofile into it anyway, its about hope and chris king
