watto
Tired of your grips slipping down your bars? don't wanna buy any of those grip stop things ? got any old gripshifts lieing around doin nothing creative ? If you thinking to yourself yes to all off those questions well keep reading, well undo the the little grubscrew what tightens the lockring on the gripshift unit untill it has totally fell out ( make sure you keep this) and pull out the little lockring from the shifter unit, slide the ring down your bars until its reached the place were you want to have you grips stopped and nip the little bolt up. and heh presto some nice grip stops for you . Walleee
Or fix your grips properly in the first place, if they move, putting stops will only stop the movement up and down the bars, they will still turn around the bars, not something i can imagine being good...... watto
thats what the intended idea...... it was not to stop them spinning, hair spray helps with that ....... Edited June 4, 2006 by watto
Dan6061
What's with the cheesey american-advert style? "Have you tripped over at work? wanted to suit your boss? Ever felt like some money?" (Friendly joke) Sounds like a clever idea. My gips don't slide about though.

chrishayton
Please dont tell me you use Dmr zip grips... they are wank!Odi lock ons are your boys.they really arent. they are awful grips and the design is crap. the plastic tabs round off and cause your grips to wobble. or snap they you get full on moto grip. i know i wouldnt use odi lock on's on a trials bike again. His idea is good, i noticed it myself a while ago when dismantling my shifter. zip ties work too but you can scratch your bars taking them off ( not too great for carbon fibre.)
