Chris Elson
Hi people i have a hs33 and the hose which connects to the lever has some how snap, some one said to me just cut the hose and connect the hose back to the lever, i have cut the hose and i unscrewd the screw from the lever to get out the remaining old snapped hose and their is a little gold thing? i have tried getting it off, but its not coming off , i was just wondering if i need the gold thing to put on the new hose. Hope this makes sense. ThanksChris121
Robwalker
That little gold thing is called an olive, and you cant take it off, You need to cut off the end of the hose with the gold thing on, and then put this bit over the end that goes into the cylinder/lever and it should fit all good.Rob
Chris Elson
oh cheers m8, oh well i have done it now it took ages , i burnt out the hose from the gold bit, cleaned it, got a round thing and stuck it in the gold thing , hammered the round thing so it makes the gold thing bigger and then fitted it on the hose, and i then used pliers to press the gold bit back onto the hose. it took ages lol saved me a £1 lol, thanks for telling me though.
