sunn_bmixx
hi this has been getting at me for some while now. Say you hop up something big then straight away have to hop back down,(in otherwords you land on the wall but dont acctually stop on it long enough to ballance) Does that count do you think?ThanksIan
yoyoyo
Do you mean, for example. You got up a 2 foot wall but then had to hop down after, and if it counts that you got up a 2 foot wall. Then yes.
Ali C
wouldnt count in my eyes, look at it this way, if it was in a comp, you would have to get over it fully, so jumping back off would class as failing in my eyes.

yoyoyo
Hang on i'm confused. Is the hop off forward or backwards.Take this hastily made paint diagram.A is where he hops forwards, B when they hop back.A counts for me, B doesn't.[attachmentid=5085]
EchoOz
I would say that it wouldn't count basically because of the whole comp idea said before. Oz
Simpson
if you blunted it i would say it countedbut if you put you back wheel then jump off no of course it doesnt count!but if you can get your back wheel on it then just do it again till you can put the front down
Bike addict
If you get up the wall and land on it in any way shape or form, even if you dont have time to balance then yes it counts. It counts because you have got up the wall or whatever and landed on the top so.........
Synergy
fare enough if it was comp it wouldnt count. but in my eyes if you are riding street and get up it then it would count even if you jumped down after a millisecond.
fruitbat
IMO no it wouldnt count as getting up a 2 foot wall, end of the day if your coming off backwards (on or off your bike) then obviously your not getting high enough to get up said wall.If you do a gap, but fall back and dont land at the other side you aint made the gap, same thing really. Theres no 'i nearly made it so ill count it as a yes', theres making it and trying again till you do make it, keep trying and you will keep yourself and your bike on the wall.Frooty

poopipe
like arse it does - see the above comment on nearly making a gap. ababucas only count if you roll back out of it - feet down = failure
Barbra
it doesn't count, i wouldn't feel a sense of achievement if i tried to do something but had to hop back off what i was trying to do plus what ali C pointed out about comps
N.Wood
Yeh thats balls really, if you went up a wall and were so off balance that you had to jump back off again, then theres no way you've made the move.My only exception would be sidehopping onto a thin object, where if you hopped onto it, over balanced and hopped back off/over the other side. Ash-Kennard
my opinion on this is whether you are happy or not with it, if not, do it again, if so, then you suck and should do it again anyway just to show it wasn't a one off.
sunn_bmixx
yea, it feel like you havent done it when u hop off backwards and if u do then why do you keep going at it even if you 'made the hop'??Ian
Ben Geary
If you land on it then jump of then no .... that doesnt count in my eyes either.
sammmy
I think the same as Ali C.. in a comp you'd have to get up and stay up.. having to hop back off would usually mean you havn't quite got far enough on to regain balance and therefore, in my eyes, id see that as a failure... i apologise if i just put down your new highest side hop
