JT!
Your probably better off going down to your LBS, they have all the right gear to do it. Save having to send it off.

Dan6061
alext - 0, ENO - 1. When I had to get my ACS off my crank arm, I took it to work (Halfords) and we got a long bolt, huge washer off something, and bolted the freewheel tool the the crank to stop it slipping. Then got some mole grips on the freewheel tool, and a huge extension bar, and twatted it with a mallet lots. Worked well.

Dr. Nick Riviera
you chump, freewheels engage against the thread, so every time you pedal it tightens itself.it is impossible to remove a freewheel with a chainwhip.P.s - wanna get your eno off? tell it dirty stories... JT!
Ok Park Tool chain whipThere's isn't a chain whip out there that will get an eno off a crank arm. Also there's the case of what was said in the post above which i didn't realise, even after i'd read it, took a while to sink in. You need a vice, a freewheel tool, a good loooooong spanner, some sort of way to bolt the freewheel tool to the freewheel to stop it slipping, and a mallet (or uber strengh). Bionic Balls
i'd also give it a go if the peeps above fail...i'm in essex if that helps..got some refs etc..PM me if yer desperate..adam
Sam Ward
Just heat it up with a blowtorch so the threads expand and that should get ut off easier, just dont heat the crank aswell.sam
Walleee
Seeing as threads work on an interferance fit, it's going to be impossible to heat the eno without heat disapating to the crank arm. Using heat isn't something i'd suggest, there are others here who seems to be fairly confident that they can get it off, go with them alex
Bionic Balls
actually jake...if you're having trouble..heat'll really help alot...don't worry that you're heating everything up- the thread on the freewheel has the bigger diameter so it'll expand more anyways (more atoms- more expansion with heat)...making it a wee bit easier to get off/spray some wd40 inbetween to make life easier...coefficient of thermal expansion of alu alloys is also ~ twice that of plain carbon steels...so heat is especially helpful in the BB axle, crank taper area..adam
Walleee
My concern is that your telling a teenager with little mechanical experiance to blast the shit out of his freewheel and crank arm. Unless he stop's applying heat at the right time, and applies it at the right place, he runs the risk of permanently disfiguring the freewheel, or heating the cranks to such an extent as to f**k them up.Besides, not everyone has a blow torch in the Shed/Garage,

Danny Kearns
Hhahacheers JakeMe and Pete are going to have another go at it with these suggestionsthanks allot guys If some of the people on here are confident enough, i would go with them instead of all this blowtouch and heating up palava, i would rather pay to be honest and save the hassle. Also safer. I have no idea how to do this my self so, dont even ask, lol i cant even get an acs off.Cheers !

Waynio
best way to get eno's off is to take it all to bits, take the lock ring off etc etc, the "Freewheel" tool then fits onto the 4 pin thing loads better if you aint got the tools, your LBS SHOULD have a freewheel 4 prong tool. they should be able to get it off, take pedal off clamp tool to crank, and BOSH! leverage bar it WILL come off, iv removed loads @ work when people just couldnt get em off.Waynio....................
