JT!
obviously i used the bare minimum pad available to give away because it costs less, the pads for sale will be similar to majics with much more 'meat', dont forget, we are testing the rubber, not analysing the build depth!I don't think it's a really good idea to reduce the pad material for testing, you can't really test the pads perofmance and build quality proporly.Wouldn't having more pad material mean that there's more material to squash down. So by having less on the test pads, it's making the brake feel more solid, when it wont with the full amount on?Also, becuase there's less material, there's a much less likely possibility of the pads ripping off the backings.Don't mean it in a nasty hiss hiss way, but the feedback from these pads could be different on the pads if they ever are buyable. Walleee
The lack of material gave me great problems with set-up and had it not been for my new RB lever I know I would not have been able to use these pads, the prongs on my calipers were also closer to the rim than the pads.I have noticed flex aswell but thought that was down to using the new Lever, perhaps i'll try changing the backings around......First impressions are I like them because they are not loud honk honk pads, but they do tend to lack the bite I like, they seem to be very much like plazmatic pads to me, which I usually run on the front....
