Sunn Doublewide rim, smooth currently but will grind if needed.

Let me know if either are any use, I dont mind sending afew quid your way as I understand what your doing is very expensive.

Got mine today, I can only use one though because the other had so little material that the little prongs that came out of the magura to keep the backings in actually go over the pad by about 2mm, so i cant set up the barke without the lever coming to the bar or the little prongs rubbing on the wheel. :(

lol, oh my, i will send u another set out

obviously i used the bare minimum pad available to give away because it costs less, the pads for sale will be similar to majics with much more 'meat', dont forget, we are testing the rubber, not analysing the build depth!

Nah don'r worry about it, seriously, I cut up and old backign and superglued it on, so it added about 3-4mm onto the pad height. so its all good now (Y)

ok well i was going to test on a dx32 (mod) and i did have some tar on too, so i bled my brake and all went well with that, nextly i went out and re-set-up my brake so it was just right, put pads in and did what we all do when we get new pads, i stood over the bike with front brake on pedalled it round and pressed the brake on to hear how it sounds, however the problem occurred when the pads were fully on the rim and it didn't stop it spinning at all it just carried on going round,

the brake felt solid as well so its not like they weren't on right, and it was definitely set up and bled right.

maybe the pads got contaminated or something, they looked and felt fine, seemed a little hard but that wouldn't affect it like that, a grind may solve the problem but i know of no other pads that keep spinng with the brake locked on (well should be)

there must be a simple solution, something that went wrong that i did, hows everyone elses going? and are you using grinds? also did you have any similar experiences?

any help much appriciated

chris :(

You used tar? and your testing pads for someone? are you retarded. Where the f**k is ads quote " a chipolata would work on a rim with tar".
