That was actually a really good episode for once! Its been a while since I've been impressed just by the intro at the start of what was to follow.

The Veyron was faster than I expected. Bear in mind its not just heavy because of the engine, its a seriously overbuilt and luxurious car compared to everything else near the top of that board. To think it was that quick on a short and slow track that will always favour light/nimble cars. I think it would kick arse on a faster and longer track. I didn't think it looked very impressive though, it was all so clinical and almost boring for a super car. The Zonda on the other hand, that just looked like crazy fun sliding all over the place, and sounds completely insane!

The race was really interesting and made a good change, even if the challenge was easy. I can squeeze 700miles out of the 56litre tank in my old Citroen banger :P. Did anybody else think why don't they use the Audi diesel that Jeremy did an eco run in a few years back? I'm sure that did 800miles?

Oh and yeah I did notice a couple of hotties in the audience, always good when they're talking crap in the interview :P

That Zonda sounded insane! The Veyron's just a lovely looking monster... haha.

Enjoyed that episode. Couldn't believe Clarkson, I knew he would, but I didn't want to believe it!

Don't want to say exactly what happened as some haven't seen it... You know what I mean though. ;)

Just watched the whole thing, great show. Yet again another proper episode without fooling around.

Anyway, just wondering how they managed to do such good mileage on a tank. Especially Clarkson, he thought he'd run out near London yet reached Blackpool and still had 120 miles to go? Surely that's not possible. I presume diesels must have a big reserve due to what happens when the fuel runs out but 2 gallons seems a bit much anyway. Somehow I fail to believe that race really looked like they said it did (the two driving economically and Clarkson driving normally). If JC was so quick, how come did Hammond catch up with him despite taking a later train and supposedly driving very slowly? Must say that Jag is superb though.

Remember, Clarkson took a detour so it would go past his house. Also, when he past his house he started driving economically, whereas Hammond started to drive a bit quicker.

That sort of amazed me too. But saying that, even a little fiesta with a 40-50 litre tank, still has a good 10 litres when the needle drops off the gauage. Maby it just had a huge fuel tank, still did a good mpg though...

I cant believe the Bugatti wasn't the quickest though. It looked so smooth around their track. That Zonda was insane though, even the way the breaks made the wheels lift, like a motorbike.

Enfields a God too...
