Mr Monty
When i hade my echo reds on they were amazing they where louder than zoo pads and had a amazing bite that was on a light ish grind then i got a new grind road down and hill no pad left just red powder on my frame
coolbeen
they are really good to ride on with a light grind but not so good if you are running a heavy grind. On a light grind they do make a nice sound but the zoo ones are louder i find but the echos still make a good sound.Hope this helps
GlynnP
does the sound really matter isnt it all about how well the pad performs i.e good bite and hold. Not if they make a better/louder sound than everyone elses. Agreed the sound does give you reasurance that your brack is working.

Agreed the sound does give you reasurance that your brack is working.Allright then mate the noise means nothing, what do you thinka grinder does.? harshens the rims and the texture of the pads (soft, medium or hard), reacts with the roughend surface to make the brake to make the noise, if you have no noise, this is in my oppinion, the brake pad is too hard for the grind or the grind is to week for the pad. Sponge
I haven't had a set on my bike, but I have a few friends who use them on grinds. For example, on Dan Ko's bike a bit back, the Echo pads didn't seem to grip very well onto a grind compared to pads like Zoo. It's a harder compound and talking about its loudness means nothing, when I've tried these pads, they were always worse than Zoo pads and I could notice that they weren't nearly as grippy. Matthews
Their great on a clean rim with tar or a light grind!
