Quicker Responsive Brakes

Recommended Posts

Don't bleed with water, there will be problems down the line because water is a mix with oxygen and it leads to air bubbles in the line, ask dave (DAB on here he told me about it). Try another re-bleed thats all i can think of, next time were out i'll see if i can set them up any differently for you . (Y)

Water is not a mix with oxygen, water is made up of hydrogen and oxygen that are chemically bonded together. It will not lead to air bubbles because water does not break down into air when you shake it in a sealed container. Try it, get a test tube, fill it with water and stick a rubber bung in the top and shake it as much as you want. There will be no air in there before you start shaking and because there is no room for the water to splash around in there so there will be no air bubbles when you finish shaking it.

You think magura's were supposed to have oil in them so you can't use anything else, well they were supposed to use the magura boosters and black, green, kool stop pads etc and i'm pretty sure that you won't be running anything as bad as kool stop pads.

Just because something is designed to be used one way doesn't mean there isn't a potentially much better way of doing it.

my rear HS33 became very slow to return so it may be that the piston is sticking, if u just take the brake and pads off then pull the lever to the bars u can then apply a decent amount of WD40 to the piston, repeat as neccesary till all works fine again. :P
