Clawz114
I was just browsing the google science and technology news when i came across this. (there is 3 pages by the way i didnt notice until just now)http://today.reuters.co.uk/News/NewsArticl...C1-ArticlePage2Technology is getting stupid, can you imagine what would happen if the wrong people get hold of these? I still stand by my belief that there will soon be wireless electricity.Dan Edited May 28, 2006 by Clawz114
adamtrials
Wireless electricity? No chance.Want to elaborate on why you think that it is possible/ how it could work? With wireless electricity transport would be revoloutionised. Practical electric aircraft would become easily possible, and electric cars would be a doddle...
Clawz114
http://van.hep.uiuc.edu/van/qa/section/Ele...30211052001.htmThats why!"Yup, transmitting energy without wires is possible, but it has its problems." Its only a matter of time before some really clever people get rid of the problems. Edited May 28, 2006 by Clawz114
RandomHero
How can you have wireless electricity. Electricity needs to travel through electrons. It cant travel through air.... or at least i don't see how its possible.Soo please do elaborate on what you mean by 'wireless electricity'That is just methods of creating and transferring energy which can be turned into electricity. Its not actually transferring electricity. In the case you are talking about we have been transferring electricity for years and years. Solar cells have been around for ages. And to eleborate on how it is possible follow this link...http://van.hep.uiuc.edu/van/qa/section/Electricity_and_Magnets/Electromagnetism/20030211052001.htmIm not going to pretend i know how but what he is saying kinda makes sense, but he sounds clever so im going to belive him
crazyman with a death wish
u can they tryed it with a testla coli in 1938 the idea was have a big testla coli and it transmits the electricity to another testla coli in your home it worked but it started to set things alight and horse shoes started to get magnetized to the ground it didn't hurt them . Clawz114
exactly, they just need to solve the problems, like you said setting stuff on fire...Anyway what does everyone think about the clocking device? and what happens when the wrong people get hold of them?Dan
Ash-Kennard
still doesn't matter, by the time they get around to making it we will all have heatvision goggles given to us at birth.(i dont think it will happen)
Danny_G
hate to say it but this has already been done by the US Military and it's advanced soliders by placing small mirrors and telescreen onto a jump suit, it doesn't make the solider %100 invisable but it does make them look like a heat wave....it does so look so cool though, suppose it raises another question! what would you do if you were invisable for a day?? Electricity needs to travel through electrons. It cant travel through air.... or at least i don't see how its possible.Soo please do elaborate on what you mean by 'wireless electricity'That is just methods of creating and transferring energy which can be turned into electricity. Its not actually transferring electricity. They're essentially creating a giant electro-magnet. (The cone in the centre of the coil will drag magnetic materials into it. They also create immense amounts of heat... as far as I remember, anyway. Plus, I would imagine that when you 'switch it on' you would get a huge capacitance surge and it would kill most poeple standing in its vicinity that weren't in those dopey looking suits.hate to say it but this has already been done by the US Military and it's advanced soliders by placing small mirrors and telescreen onto a jump suit, it doesn't make the solider %100 invisable but it does make them look like a heat wave....it does so look so cool though, suppose it raises another question! what would you do if you were invisable for a day?? I saw that on Slashdot ages ago. Except it was still in development by a professor in Japan. It's basically the real version of the camo. suit in the Splinter Cell games. Last I saw of it the projection always looked 'bright' and caused an error in contrast. Only time though.
rickyb
ride all that stuff you used to get kicked off by security, infact ride the security guards car!If thats all you would do then you should get out more (without your bike)
killer4all2
it can't be true ... just imagine ... you ride your bike but nobody can see you the bike just does some tricks alone
Clawz114
You could cut it all up and sew it together to make clothes, then it wouldnt get stuck in your chain etc...
