Clownbike
Well i got some Koxx bars and they don't fit my monty stem.Is there a brace/bracket i can get to make them fit? Also is there a monty sealed hub, but not the monty Xlite one. I've been offered a rear wheel that has a monty sealed hub, but cant find the hub that he descirbed. The only one i can find is the monty X lite, but thats not the one. The other option i can find is the unsealed one, but he says it's sealed? No idea on age either Any help much apreciated,Neil

ScotchDave
To fit koxx slim bars in a monty stem you will need shims, but shimming bars is not something I like to do.
Greetings
Go to a turner and have him make you a 31.8 to 25.4mm conversion, then just cut it in half so it can be mounted on the bars and bob's your uncle Got one of those at home, never used it though. Clownbike
Thanks for the hekp guys.I'm not quite sure what Ben meant by "I don't like shimming bars". Do you mean you dont like to have a brace on the bars........maybe because they would slip?????? I've PM'd inur, but any more help on the shimming would be good.Is it a clamp that will go around my bars, do i have to weld it on :$ , or is it more of a case of really tightening the bolts on the stem. I don't see it being amazingly stable? Thanks,Neil

Greetings
Just in case this is of any help:[attachmentid=4949] [attachmentid=4951]Obviously the sleeve needs to be cut in half along the red line or you won't be able to get the bars in. Inner diameter is 25.4, outer 31.

Greetings
Nope, it doesn't have to stick out. This was just done so that I could cut it to whatever width I wanted, without risking it being too narrow.
