Ash-Kennard
quote from the internet somewhere."Volume limit on iPod Turn that iPod downCan't have our customers going deaf now can we?Strange though how they keep printing Razzle every week knowing their customers are going blind?I've invented a universal remote for switching off other people's iPod's:I don't want to hear your techno music at 7.30a.m. or 'Groove is in the Heart' by Dee Lite at any time of day. It's not called iGhettoblaster is it? or uPod? or iWillinflictmymusiconthewholebuspod."bbc new article on itEDIT: the link at the bottom is wrong, but if i had one I would cause some havoc with people i-pods. Dr. Nick Riviera
you can change the levels on the songs in iTunes though...unless it actually restricts the amplifier/whatever.good idea in theory but loud music is good for you

MasterOfGussets
It looks to me that you plug the "iPodoff" part into an iPod as a reciever. Then the remote controls it.Now, I can't see anyone who isn't a master pick-pocket fitting the reciever to an iPod then sneaking back to their seat, turning down the iPod, then retrieving the reciever when they need to get off the bus/train/whatever.In other words, it's bollocks. Looks like a joke anyway. If it's not, it's the single-most shite invention ever created. If it is real, the only use for this is with those speaker docks. Although, I would still prefer to use a proper stereo system.
Alexx
its not for your ipod, its for f**king about with everyone elses. But why would anyone ever pay for a big plug-in thing for their Ipod just so other people can anoy them when they are listening to music?the whole idea sucks. no one in their right mind would produce that
Ben Cox
my guess is its more that you dont have to take your ipod out of your pocket or stupid case, instead of messing with other folkBen
RicH_87
i would expect most people will already be annoyed enough, simply by the fact they bought and ipod to start with, you don't wanna rub salt into the wound.

MasterOfGussets
Since Apple put in crappy batteries that need replacing after 18 months... and you have to pay something like £100 to have it replaced. But Apple are partly owned by Bill Gates so I guess you can expect to get conned.
biketrialler
microsoft have non controlling shares in apple, so actually bill gates has nothing to do with the company apart from if he sold his shares he'd get a lot of moneyas far as the batteries, theyre a lot better these days and if you take out applecare to extend your 1 year warranty you'll get free replacements if needed. or you can go on ebay, get a new battery for £20 and fit it yourself so its not so bad.As far as the player itself its the daddy, and it looks great too so... I got my ipod Xmas 2002 (the 2003 model the week it came out), and I've used it prettymuch solid for the last 4 years, and there is nothing wrong with my battery. It doesn't last as long as it did, but all batteries get a bit worse as they get older.
Extreme_biker0
FYI every battery powered electrical device uses Lithium Ion batteries nowadays as it is the best technology available. They hold most power per unit size, no memory effect, and can be recharged as many times as you want without reducing energy retention at all.The down side to the technology is that the batteries start to stop working after about 3 years no matter what. What i'm saying is you can't say apple chose crappy batteries becuase they did not. They chose the best, and it's what you will find in your phone, your pda, or any other mp3 player that has its own battery.
anzo
Nothing, and I mean NOTHING will beat the invention of the digital watch that can be used as a TV remote.
