Davetrials
zoo bars are better, but different..
ScotchDave
I don't think they're similar, if you send your bars back you'll either get crash replacement or warranty.

Mark W
I always felt the Zoo's felt flatter, so they had an almost more flat-bar sweep to them than the Onzas. Ah well, there we go...

Mark W
Yeah, my bars are just weird now... The laquer's roughed up, and there are some air pockets or something under it. Weird...
Watson©
My Onza's are cracking, well not cracking, the laquer is just becoming all rough and stuff... the alu is fine though
philking
I have cracked two pairs of the onza bars - nice shape but wank strength. I know people say, oh its just the carbon thats cracked but there really is no way to be sure and also the carbon is there for a reason therefore if it is cracked then its weaker surely.Warrentee wise i got half price replacement on my first pair, but then the new pair cracked within a month so it isnt worth it given they are nearly £60. Let me know about the zoo bars - i was interested, but i just went back to my old PX flat bars in the end.
T.McMillan
how have most of you managed to ccrack or break the laquer? is it from a hard landing or falling? because I was really interested in buying a set of onza riser bars, but im not so sure now, can u tell how you managed to crack etc? Most people with them (including me) haven't had any problems. I'm sure Adam Read ran the same set for over 3 years! And I'm pretty sure Danny Butler had his a similar amount of time (top UCI rider so he'll have ridden his almost every day...) philking
Mine just broke while i was riding normally, didn't fall or anything just doing fairly standard moves - they cracked in two places - wouldn't trust them again, thats for sure. Prawny Baby
Mine just broke while i was riding normally, didn't fall or anything just doing fairly standard moves - they cracked in two places - wouldn't trust them again, thats for sure.man you must be SERIOUSLY heavy!i ran the same set for 2 1/2 years, and they were perfect right up to the day i sold them!mine survived LOADS of massive drop gaps, several pretty serious crashes, and outlasted pretty much every other component on my bike!bigman ran a set as well, and we all know what he weighs his lasted perfectly well too, and never gave him any trouble.i believe they were the bars he was running on his mighty 7ft drop to front wheel crash as well...... and as far as i know, his bars are still going strong on someone elses bike.really guys, they are SOLID bars.....however- i recently switched to Zoo! bars after so long on the onzas. and i really do much prefer the Zoo'sat the time, the onzas felt great, but as soon as the zoo bars went on, the whole bike felt REALLY different, just much more trialsy and flickable.go with Zoo bars for sure! Mark W
My Pazzaz bars lasted over 3 years and they're still holding up fine. I sold them to Mat though, 'cos I fancied trying the 30" risers, so I bought some second hand. Unfortunately, they've cracked - as far as I can tell. Got some silver Zoo bars on now and they feel pretty good. I think the Pazzaz/Onza bars felt stiffer, but I'm not 100% about that...
