Smo™
It will eventually rust, yeah, but you shouldn't see any in just a few days unless you ride it in the sea.

Monty_Man_Stoive
1st - You should laquer it, as laquer is a anti corrosion stage, just like paint, it not only looks good but its there for the reason to prevent corrosion.2nd- keep it in doors, becuase moisture = corrosion (hardly any though, but its a start)3rd - You should at least spray it with an Etch primer, thats primer for bare metal, then when you get a chance to laquer it, rub your frame down with a 320 grit paper and then a 500 git and then maybe even a wet 800 for extra smoothness because your only laquering it, then laquer it and your laughing Hope that helps mate Steve
trials_pimp
Depends. If its Steel, then it should be done Imediatly, as it will start corroding straight away.If its alloy, dont bother.M<y Fattys have been stripped, and had nothing done to them for 3 years. And they are still fine.
onzatprodude
well its a monty 221 ti frame so i think aluminium but correct me if any does know? im leaving it silver so i will get some laka in a couple of days so will i not need prima? cheers for the replys guys Edited May 26, 2006 by onzatprodude
Ben Geary
It's alu so it's not going to rust ... my T-rex has been polished all down and hasnt be laquerd and it's fine. But use laquer just for extra protection if you like don't really matter as it's alu so it's not going to rust at all.

Onza Kieron
Looking good Fergie, You just gotta ride it now And give me a go..Also, no need to laquer it, I didn't laquer my T-Rex frame and my ashtons and theyre both fine, I just give it an occasional polish to get the bling going. Ben Geary
Good outcome, looks nice. if i was you i wouldent use polish on it when it's like that i think it looks really nice like that with out polishing it ... but it'll start going dim and and shitty so thats when you need to give it a polsihing. Looks really nice anyway.Done a good job .

Alex87
Aluminium doesn't need laquering becuse the outer surface reacts with the oxygen in the air to form an aluminium oxide protective surface on the top
