Greetings
The spokes brake at the head (meaning the bit which goes through the hub). 3 crosses, wide flange diameter (disc), echo rim. I use Mavic spokes, mach 3 I believe. What can I do to stop this happening?
ScotchDave
If the wheel is old the spokes will have work hardened and become so brittle that they snap, your best bet is to get it re built.

Greetings
Could running a rear disc be effecting it that much? Adam how's your KOT in this respect?
durkie
rebuilding is really the best option. i think if you've broken one, it's hard to get the rest of the wheel back in appropriate tension when you replace it, and then they all start dying off left and right. i went through about as many spokes on a road wheel before it became too much of a pain in the ass.
