SamHolmes
Happened to mine aswell, probably just needs properly tightning up though
Trials Dave
ok then, is it hard to turn the bars from side to side? if they are then your bearings may be in upside down. i did this with an fsa pig.your top cap isnt touching the top of your steerer tube on forks? if so tightening it will just pull the star nut up.all parts are there in correct order?the headset is pressed in all the way? and in straight?theres a few things for you to check
Adrian
right my mate alex has had exactly the same problem; the rocking was just the pads on the front maggie moving back and forth, and the cracking has never stopped and we've checked everything, now it click about 10 times wen you turn thr bars 90 degrees... ive also got an echo headset and its lush, so i just think its the odd few.... adrian
Onza Kieron
In my opinion, no product should crack or rock or anything, that is why companys hold checks where they take 1 or 2 from each batch and check they workand meet specs. Echo seem little quality, Damn Deng
dave85
Get the headtube faced, ditto the fork, then cover everything in sight with grease, should sort it.
modrider666
Mates did it,Greased all the bearings etc and stopped crackingabout the rocking make sure the top cap isnt bottomin out on the steerer basically add spacers if needed or shorten the steerer tube:)
