Haha yeah, all my coursework was crap, everyone in my school does higher.I got a D overall for the corsework but an A in the mock...One tard in my year only answered one question, so he can only get 30 marks out of 80 or something... Robwalker
I did the wjec higher one ( we're being taught english by a scottish teacher to the welsh specification )Thankfully there is only 1 poem in it...The clock in the room stopped, so they brought in 3 different clocks all with different times on, then spent ages faffing around trying to get them right... I should try and claim extra marks for that Haha i done that exam, the poem was so depressing i actully wanted to kill myself lol, altough i did find it was in perfect comparison with my school What books you read? anyone do Silas Marner? Out of all the characters i chose to revise im sooooo happy i choose Dolly Just waiting fingers crossed for the results Any you ICT guys got off easy, mine was two hours long and i had answerd every single question and gone over it within an hour, god that was boring Rob

GuyJames
You will soon realise GCSE's are easy compared to AS. I got two A's in English but have had to totally change my writting style to qualify the top marks in AS. I think it is ridiculous to place all the pressure on one or two exams in a subject. What if you are really nervous, don't perform under pressure? You might be excellent but not show that in the exam. I remeber a proposal to abolish exams and allow teachers to access each pupil on the work they produce throught out the year and their attitude etc but silly silly Mr.Blair... ARSE!
That has got to be one of the crapest exams! I timed it all wrong, i did too much for the first part think i did about 4 or 5 pages on 'of mice and men', then had no time for second part only compared 2 poems instead of 4, i did Seamus Heaney and Julian Clarke, did good in the Heaney bit as my teacher is obsessed with him as he was taught by him in queens uni, which i dont think he even went to, he probably just hung around stalking heaney all day, he has a degree in english and he complains about being a teacher, ' well get a real job you bum' ahh well, hopefully il make the marks up from the first section. Dai the Socket
Too bad they dont tell you GCSE's mean nothing... Damn i hated english.Still not the end of the world 5 A-C's and a B in English/Maths will get you in most places for College. My Grammar School sixth form accepts that. Think it's even a C in English/Maths now!AS exams will be fun. 1 week 6 days and counting. I've done NO revision yet. Eek.
Simpson
A/B in course work but got predicted D what happend there Urm my teacher was a fat welsh c'nt - an i just had to prove a point to keep giving her re drafts so she had to re mark them - but each time you have in a new draft they just give you a higher mark - an i got like A* in my story so over compensated for my shite reading analysis thingAH funny story there was this lil bird in the room and it kept flying into the windown - it then flew across the room cracked is head on the wall an fell down dead - it shitted on my mates test paper on its flight through as well hahhaa Edited May 24, 2006 by pissin_on_the_fence
