Design Me A Tattoo

This is what you should get:

A little girl holding 3-4 severed heads of men in her hands, smiling and looking up at something really scary with huge hands about to crush her head. And it should be a back piece. ~50 hours at least.

We haven't all got the pain threshold you do Andy ;)

Your latest peice finished yet dude?

Haha.

Draw it. I'm interested :P

I don't know if you drew the little girl on your chest, I'm guessing so, but I want something like that. I love the irony of some cute girl with such evil intentions :)

No one can tell you/anyone what to do with their body! People shouldn't get so angry if someone wants stars or doesn't want stars...I don't want stars, i won't put them on my body. I also would never pierce anything. I'd tattoo my face before I'd pierce anything :) Different strokes for different folks. The one good things about getting stars is, just incase if something happens later on in life and you have a change of heart, they are generally not that big and easy to cover up.

Body mod threads seem to get some anger going, but thats just because its the internet...silly things always happen on the internet. A great punk line goes "the only difference between tattooed and non tattooed people is tattooed people don't care if you're not tattooed!" (Y)

My chest piece is on hold...the artists has a constant 4-6 month wait, I have three 3 hour appointments set for august and september...It went from a 6 hour operation to 15+ very quickly, and may end up encompasing my shoulders and going down towards sleeves...I'm not too sad about the wait, money should be much more readily available by then anyway... I hope!

Oh and nick- I wasn't really kidding about that back piece :- For me the back is the largest canvas on your body, and it will take years for me to figure out what I want...very important place for sure, I will be covering the whole thing without a doubt with one large (LARGE!) tattoo...no idea yet...but as for the imagery I was talking about I've been playing with some ideas of that nature recently. We'll see what the years do to me ;)

I know this is probably shit talking, but once you're old, the tattoos will not only look horrible (because of the body shrinking, and wrinkles appearing everywhere) but will no longer be considered as, may I call it, cool/trendy.

Obviously this should be of no concern to me because it's not my business. Personally I'm not fond of the idea of decorating one's body like this. Recently, someone posted a pic of a very small bike tattooed on his shoulder. Now that's great, it's something to remind you for the rest of your life of what you devoted your early years to.

I just think that deciding about drawing something on your body is a very difficult decision, as things change in life. I'm sure all of us who are not mature (meaning under 30) will be regretting things they had done being young - which at the moment - they approve of.

Excuse me, I had to write this. But as long as you guys know what you're doing - fine :)

Have fun !

To Inur mainly :)

I know where you're coming from, however I've kinda of had to think it thought. I think that some other people's tattoo's are pointless, but to be honest it's their body and not mine, so they can do / get what they want.

I've been wanting something decent on my body since I was about 12. From then I've been been trying to think what I want, what it should represent and where to have it. I stil haven't come to a conclusion, but I love the style and naivety (spelling?) of AndyT's ones. Especially the focal point of the girl on his chest.

Something like that would be good. Easily hidable if needs be as I'm thinking of entering the Police, but also something cool which people who are close to you (family / friends / girlfriend etc) would see :)

Also to AndyT..

Nah I wasn't expecting you were joking about the idea man. I'm serious lol. I adore the style of the girl on your chest, and something kinda highlighting how stupid some stereotypes are. Little girls are portrayed as being evil so little, it's something you've gotta kinda step back from and think about. I love it to be honest!

I might get drawing, but I can't really draw for shit so might have to catch you on MSN again if you don't mind? Did you draw your chest one? Where did the ideas come from? ^_^

Thanks, Nick :turned:

I drew up the ideas and some rough stuff, found an artist i loved and brought in a bunch of different resources for him to use- as well as asking for him to put some of his own style monsters in there... The main girl picture was used from a photo I had- what you need to do nick is really, really research all the tattoo artists in england (and possibly europe)- find a style you love and save for as long as it takes to go to him and have him draw everything up and do it for you. I'm always on the look out for artists, everyone has their own style...if you find a style you love and go to him and you won't be sorry about the work that comes out of it!

In terms of them looking like shit- your whole body will look like shit at that point! I don't take my shirt off or show any of my tattoos to anyone...they never hit the sun. They are for me and me alone, and sometimes to scare women who have no idea about them until I am over them with my shirt off (use your imagination, so far they have all been good comments... ahaha). Since I was a little kid I was interested in tattoos, and now it is a life long love...I like to live life to its fullest, and would not be suprised if I didn't live past 40. I would hate to wake up at 50-60 and wish that I had done something, for me that is a greater fear than death. I see people 70-80-90 years old as people who aren't really alive, we aren't meant to live that long...that is an entirely different subject though and its only my personal ideas :) Obviously biologically we are wired to want to live as long as we can so we can watch our offspring and ensure their proper growth and prosperity...another thing is to not get trendy tattoos! Don't get something because you think it might be cool or your friends see people with that style and think it is cool..be different... (Y)

ps I'm not really on msn or AIM any more, just myspace :dunno:

oh ps- one piece of advice...before you get a tattoo, take a magic marker (permanent or whatever) and draw it on roughly where you want it/ with the same size and live with it for a few days and see what you think!

Some of that is very much my view. I don't think I'll be 'gutted' if I don't live until I'm 50 or whatever. At least I can say I've done everything I wanted to in life. When you're old life gets boring anyway. I can't do with all that bad back and stuff. Sack that.

Where did you find your artist? How?

I'm guessing very few will have a website with their work on, so it's more of going around places. Get your ass on MSN for an hour or so. I want a chat :P

I think I'll get drawing I guess.

I don't even have msn on this computer :) don't think i've been on msn in 3 months...I found him by searching denver ( my big city) for a year or so, looking at all the shops portfolios and such...and alot of people have stuff on their web site! Actually, all of them do...if they are a really good shop- which is the only kind you want to go to if you are getting something large...

These are my 2 shops locally:

www.thinktanktattoo.com

www.twistedsol.com

another favorite:

www.brandonbond.com

The only problem with most sites is that they don't get updated much- I wasn't impressed with my artists work online...then i saw their portfolio in the studio and was completely blown away!

Shut the f**k up you little twat. I'm not emo, I was looking for inspiration(cheers paul)

I haven't got a star anyway and i dont think i will be allowed to show my tat on here anyway because its in a rude place :-

Dude, its called Opinion....if you cant deal with it....dont post your ideas on a public forum. If you dont expect critisizem, then your a nugget :P. In my opinion, i would never get a tatoo, as they cant be removed, easily. But if you want to get a tatoo, go for it. Its your life. Im not going to tell you how to live it! ;)

Actually best not to think about that. :P You'll get a hard on and it'll cover it up.
