lil rider dave Posted May 22, 2006 Report Share Posted May 22, 2006 i have recently checked my bike to see if anything was wrong or lose and it seems that my back cone is lose and i dont know how to tighten it. It would be much appriecited if someone could give me a bit of advice on the matter and a bit of information on how to tighten it. Thanks lil rider dave. ' Mart ' Posted May 22, 2006 Report Share Posted May 22, 2006 i did mine a while back and they siezed up after one day riding so my advice is dont do it and get sealed bearing or tighten it but only till the hub can still move freely and spin nicely ive had 2 open bearing in 3 months now going to sealed bearing make life so much easyer Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
justfuzzit Posted May 22, 2006 Report Share Posted May 22, 2006 You need two cone wrenches. it depends on the hub for size of the wrenches. You then lostnen the outer one while holding the inner one still. Move the inner one to where it is JUST not moving around (the hub). hold the inner one, and tighten the outer one on the inner one and you are done. hopefully my instructions werent TOO confusing.
