trial-biker-ryan
I have been thinking recently about the numbers of trial bikers compared to skaters/bmxers, there seems to be literally thousands of skaters at my local park ( st neots - riverside ) and hundreds of bmxers, so compared to the 10 - 15 trial bikers there is in st neots its nothing compared to the numbers of skaters/bmxers. this is not neccerceraly a bad thing because we can all go out on rides and get to know each other really well.it would be good getting other people closely involvd in the sport to make it quiet vastly spread.because biking along in the street know one knows why you have a bike with no seat and have to peddle like a tard to get places, i mean how many times have you been asked the question... "why have you got know seat" or "why is that bmx got a big fat back wheel"so...... how many trial bikers are in your local area and do or would you like having a few trial bikers in your area, or do you or would you like a big group of trial bikers

Barbra
Its probly because Trial bikes are alot of money? Then were Skate board's are like £20 and BMX's £100?Thanks ,Daveyou got that totally wrong mate lolmost people i know that are serious about bmxing have bikes over £400 at leastI had a friend who skateboards and his skateboard was worth £160Its just because that Trials Riding isn't as popular a sport as most of the others...and to be honest most trials riders arn't helpfull enough. They are to other trials riders, but if i had a little more help i could've started trials 2 years before when i did. Anyway that doesn't matter now. I think trials is seen as the underdog of 'extreme sports' at the moment. People see us as irresponsible(sp?) wreckless teenagers that enjoy wrecking other peoples properties and damaging the public pathways walls whatever it is we ride on.Oh yea i forgot to say. Theres only like 3 trials riders that live near to me. My friend said Danny b lives near to me but i'm not sure where he lives so i can't say Edited May 21, 2006 by TrialsLord
Mr. Newbi
10-15 trial riders.... thats great (for me anyway). In my local area me and my firend are the only ones doing (well attempting) trials, and all we have is street/ DJ bikes as well :$ ... i shall soon be on my own trials rig though (yay). There are more trials riders that i know but when i do get my trials rig i dont think i shall be pedaling it over to them.

I used to skate, for about 4 years. Used to buy a new setup every 6 months. Helped to keep me going, and that way i had all the latest gear. A Damn decent set-up, will cost about £150 MAX. I wouldnt pay anymore. NO chance.....
Ewannnn
Last year my brother was the only person in the area i live with a trial bike then just now there are about 7 riders in westhillalso i think that more of my friends are wanting to start it. So it is deffinately growing but jut not that fast, as someone said before they do cost quite alot of money to buy one. Also even when people do see you doing stuff some of them may like it but dont have a clue where to get one or what they are even calledEwan

Dan6061
BMX's can be worth as much,or more than top-spec'd trials bikes.Even skateboards can be worth around £200. It's not the cost of the sport, it's how 'big' it is.You see BMX and skating all the time on TV, but Trials isn't as big.Which can be a good thing. It's near enough completely new to the public, so they nearly always stop and watch in amazement. And sometimes want to learn it themselves.
